Its not bad, but its not the best racing game i played. I had high hopes about this game. it feels to much like burnout then a need for speed game.

i am downloading the demo when the xbox live content is back up.

I would imagine it should be like the PSP. i have like 9 movies on my memory card and when one finishes it starts the next in the list. i could be wrong and the PS3 doesn't do that. but as far as i know that PS3 doesn't have a queue per say like you would find in a video player (like VLC or said other movie players). during a movie is there any option (when you press triangle) to play in a repeat or loop.

Looking at the pinouts I predict nothing would happen. VCC and GND would be on the same pins, data pins would be incorrect. Not that I'd try it. example: VCC is on pin 2 and 24 flip the card around and pin 2 is now at pin 24. GND is on pin 1 and 23 flip the card and pin 1 becomes pin 23. Clever. i guess they foreseen something like that happening and built it like that, yes very clever indeed.

Some simple, arcade-style games for the PS1?...
madmax2069 replied to ataridave's topic in Modern Console Discussion
for car combat i would have chosen twisted metal, I liked tekken 2 better then 3. but the rest sounds great. -
Even with the $50 price cut they can still keep the PSP go. My PSP 2000 is the only PSP i would ever need. The only thing i want that the PSP go has is its bluetooth capability. but nope they can keep their overpriced rehash of a PSP that lacks a UMD drive.

LMAO.

You might get lucky and still work or you might see a bunch of that magic smoke.

darn it, why is it that every time i have no income that things like this pops up.

I love the fact that netflix on Wii and PS3 has a search function, the 360 version doesn't have that feature yet, from what i understand is that its coming to 360 in November. I told my friend about being able to download netflix on the Wii (they was using the disk to use netflix), he didn't believe me at first until i showed him this topic and went to the shop.

I am the type of person that has to actually use it and play it before i knock it or like it. right now my take on it isn't good nor bad because the fact its not out yet. I just wish that others could be the same way.

Ummm...you do realize that video game consoles are classified as dual use technology, right? You could be breaking the law by selling them abroad. Hey Oldatarian I don't think this idiot has a clue. He probably couldn't find his own dick if his hand was glued to it to be honest. Anyhow Atarian69, aside from the fact that your last post made no sense whatsoever, pics would be nice. Though pics would not be conclusive since anybody with a first grade education can use photoshop. Anyways, as long as you are sure that wouldn't er..."violate" something or other? Dude, I'm just offended you forgot PC vs Mac. What? No Amiga? How about "computers vs Consoles" let the shit flinging begin MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Computers for somethings consoles for somethings. the thing is how good could a $200 computer ( a netbook or laptop or desktop) play games (now that price can be lowered to $149 because of the old style of 360), the thing is they can hardly do it at all if at all, thats where a console steps in. most of those low cost computers you cant even buy for $200 (maybe for $300 and above). most of those low cost computers lack any kind of proper hardware to play most if not all of the games a modern console can at a smooth framerate, one would have to spend a few hundred more and up to even reach the same level of performance in games as a modern console can. you would have to spend a bit on a gaming PC, those will smash a console in gaming but allot of people cant afford a gaming PC nor afford to buy parts to upgrade a PC to play modern games at or around the same level you see out of a modern console. Yeah a keyboard and mouse if nice to play a game with, but a few people can be just as accurate and just as good on a controller as someone on a keyboard is if not better (i proven that fact many of times in FPS, and others can as well). but that boils down to skill and preference on what you like to use. to me the computer vs console debates is just as retarded as PC vs Mac debates. I paid around $200 for my computer a few years ago and it wont play the games my 360 can at its performance level, but my computer is great at surfing the web and playing old games on and doing the things a gaming console cant, the 360 lacks a web browser, the PS3 has one but comes no where near a low end PC when it comes to surfing, the Wii has a browser but again comes no where near a low end PC when it comes to surfing. but enough of that crap. there is always going to be fanboys and no matter how much since you make they will still fail to listen to reason. sorry for going so far off topic.

You should buy a 68k Mac to run the old 68k software something with a 68040 because it has a FPU and some software requires a FPU ( a 68LC040 is basicly the same as a 68040 but lacks a FPU and have to replace the CPU with a 68040 to gain a FPU). a eMac has the same issues as the iMac G3 with the power board/analog board eventually going bad, i would stay away from them. I bought a Performa 475 just for playing old 68k software and upgraded it and could not be more happy. since you iMac is already showing signs of death (unless you try to revive it), you wont do any more damage in seeing if it can be fixed by something simple. and then you would learn about it as you go, which is fun to do. because as its sits now its basically a door stop.

Thats not bad, I didnt know that you could do that with the Apple Ram expansion board. I think i am going to take the easy way out and buy the 4meg card from briel computers and buy the 30 pin 1meg simms from memory x. a bit more expensive but no risk of destroying the IIgs or ram card.
-
Thats normally what happens and the tattle tell signs when that power board (analog board) goes out. you can look for a few take apart guides, depending on what model of iMac it is depends on how to take it apart, it looks hard at first but its actually really easy.
-
if its a iMac G3 then that sign is not a good thing. the power board loves to go bad in them after a while. but normally they show some signs, like the monitor having issues and the like before they go out. now you can try opening it up and removing the pram battery and holding the cuda reset button up to 15-30 seconds, if that still dont do it then things do not look good. They also have the issue with the power button under the monitor sticking in the pressed position, see if its stuck and pop it out and use the power button on the keyboard.

i think that A-10 attack and A-10 cuba is great, i ran in on my performa 475 (full 68040 at 25mhz, 132mb ram, 1mb vram, 2gb hdd, ethernet.) and my beige g3 aio (works both on 68 and ppc macs). but i think it does require a cpu with a fpu.

i know right. heck its been a while since his last batch.

Why would you want a SCSI card when you have the CFFA? If you need a RAM card that does DMA, Vince Briel's 4 meg GS RAM card does it. Yes i know, and already talked it over with bill (the original creator) and briel. only 4mb is DMA compatible, and anything above that is not. and a SCSI card is one way for you to use a CD drive on the IIgs. and using a cd rom on my IIgs is one thing i want to do (using it as a library of IIgs software if you will).
-
Why do you need that? What software will I be unable to run? I didn't know about that mockingboard reactivemicro carries. I'm going to have to take a serious look at that once it's back in stock. DMA i think is mainly for speed (good if your running GSOS and programs within) i remember reading about how some cards that do use dma and or interrupt do not work well with other cards if they do not support dma and or interrupt (or is it the other way around). edit found the info about dma DMA compatibility is a major issue if you want to use an Apple High-Speed SCSI card. If your memory card is not compatible with DMA, you have to disable it on the SCSI card, which causes a huge performance hit. The same will go for almost any other slot card which uses DMA outside of IIgs main RAM (which is extremely rare outside of the SCSI cards). I am not to sure about interrupt though and what issues could between other cards/hardware or software.

AtariAge XBox Live Gamertag List
madmax2069 replied to Hyper_Eye's topic in Modern Console Discussion
my live gamer tag is madmax2069 -
Jag doom is great best of the console ports, and doom64 is great a new game in own right.
-
The only downside to that is No DMA or Interrupt support. The one i am looking at is the MicroDrive IDE Controller at http://www.reactivemicro.com , i really want the turbo version but is $185. but having a USB port would be really nice.

I think ultimately that is how everyone here feels. Buy what you find appealing and enjoy it. These are expensive items and people want to feel secure about how they spent their money but you wouldn't have spent the money if you didn't think it was a worthy purchase in the first place. Your opinion is the only one that matters when it comes to whether or not you purchased the right thing. I don't own a PS3 but I certainly wouldn't turn one down. I like to own game consoles. I don't care who makes them or how well they sell/sold. +100 I could not agree more, the only thing i do not like is the fanboyism that comes along with buying any one console. If you say you own one system and not the other you will always be on the receiving end of a bunch of idiots telling you that you sux and what not. I see it as a game console no more and no less, and a game console is a game console no matter who makes it, they all do the same things. I currently own a 360 and eventually want to buy a PS3 and Wii ( i own almost all of the previous gen consoles. I am a gaming fan, not a system fan. i have my opinion but my opinion is based off of facts for the most part. will i like any one system better then the other probably yes but that boils down to what i like in a game or what the console offers, not from sales figures or how many exclusives a console has.

Don't say that. I don't want to live through another game crash. Unfortunately I think its going to take a game crash to get most of the game devs and console makers heads out their asses and start listening to their customers more, until then its only going to get worse. I really dont want to see another crash either but i think it will do the gaming industry some good if it did happen because they dont seem to be able to do much of anything right.
