  1. The reason he started a second topic is because, The games and hardware in the first topic are gone. The AtariForum is the only thing for sell now. He is a good guy and honest guy. Great to deal with. HHW Thanks, HH -- likewise, if you ever need a reference let me know. It was great meeting you -- always very nice to meet a likeminded individual!
  2. Believe me, I would *LOVE* to see the domain used for that purpose -- the honest truth is that the reason I never developed a site of my own is that after purchasing AtariForum.com I started surfing AtariAge and realized that the subject matter had already been covered so very well so my own site would have represented a duplication of efforts. I wish I had the ability to be philanthropic about the matter and simply donate the domain name to Al but unfortunately it's now regularly 100+ degrees here and my home's AC unit just bit the dust. Life has a funny way of throwing incessant unexpected financial challenges one's way, you see. :-(
  3. Please PM me with an offer if you're interested in it. Sorry for the second topic on the matter -- I did sell the gear collection last night and unless I'm completely missing it I don't see any way to delete an existing thread here.
  4. I have the website www.AtariForum.com available for purchase -- you'll receive ownership of both the domain name and the (few) website files. Was toying with launching an Atari-related community site about 9 years ago, but just never got around to it. In addition, the site had a "Notify me when this website launches" contact form posted for a number of years -- all data that was taken in via that form will be made available to the new site owner. Not sure what it's worth, but please PM me with an offer and we'll take it from there.
  5. Heard from a few folks who wanted to see a full game listing so I put that together tonight. There are 283 games in all including some rarity 5's and one rarity 6. I've updated the home page of AtariForum.com with a full cartridge listing so hop over there and hit your refresh button!
  6. Don't worry, I'm not the easily offended type. LOL! :-)
  7. The site was created in 2001 and it's not incredibly active, simply by virtue of the fact that the "forum" portion was never launched -- i.e., there's no real reason currently for folks to even visit AtariForum.com. That said, the site does get picked up in search engines and it's more about potential of what *could* be done with it by someone with the time and interest. I did have an opt-in form posted for a few years that took in a bit of consumer data (i.e., "Please notify me when this site launches") and that data will be included exclusively for the new owner as well. I was an active Atari enthusiast for a couple years in the early 2000's and this is what remains from that activity -- and yes, there's definitely a higher ratio of hardware to games, so to speak.
  8. (UPDATE: the gear collection is SOLD. The website is still up for grabs.) Up for sale is the website AtariForum.com — you'll receive both ownership of the domain name and all of the existing site files. In addition, the sale includes a massive Atari collection — the result of years of active collecting, swapping, trading, etc. Large number of Atari 2600 consoles from all eras, as well as some interesting historical pieces including an original Atari Super Pong console, Stunt Cycle console, and Video Pinball console. Huge number of new, unopened Atari 2600 games. Huge number of used, opened Atari 2600 games — many of which include instructions. If all purchased individually the collection represents a very significant investment, and the website has tremendous potential as well. Naturally it is all vintage gear and I cannot (and do not) guarantee the working condition of any specific item in the collection. Make a realistic offer for the website and the collection and it's yours! Please send offers and inquiries to [email protected] A full listing of the games that are included in this sale (including rarity ratings from the AtariAge 2600 Rarity Guide) is included on the AtariForum.com home page.
