Hi, I can still make some, but I still need to find some free machine time at work. I’m glad you like them. I really need to go in some night or weekend and make some. I’m sorry it’s been so long. Hopefully I’ll have a weekend when I’m here in town to make some this month.

    Thanks,

    2.) AFP version

a.) Making progress, but it's going slow.

b.) Need to know what controls work with Bb. When I tried what you can in an emulator I was lost

c.) Seems like the screen is off and the game play too.

1c.) Could be I need to fill every bank down to "zero"

2c.) Code may need to be adjusted to make sure it lines up correctly

3c.) As others have said the emulator in the AFP is not the best with Bb

Hopefully you can get it to work on the AFP. My bB game that Ross Adkin programmed, works on the portable but has issues with the scoring display (adds 0's to the front) and the items are misaligned on the screen.

  3. Last time in a casino...about a year after Hurricane Katrina. So about 2006 at the Isle of Capri Casino in Biloxi, MS.

I wish someone would develop an awesome 2600 homebrew slot machine!!

  4. My sixth book was just released yesterday and is now available thru Amazon! The Atari 2600 Homebrew and Hacks Checklist books are now available in full color or black and white paperbacks.

"The Atari 2600 is alive and well, with new games being released all the time through the power of Homebrew! The Atari 2600 Homebrew and Hacks Checklist book covers all titles released on cartridge over the past 25 years (1995-2020) for Atari’s legendary console. Inside this book, you will find every title listed in a checklist form to keep track of your collection. Each title has pertinent information about the release with the programmer, publisher, original price, quantity made and so much more. From the first homebrews like SoundX, Edtris (1995), Okie Dokie, Stell-A-Sketch, Cubis, Tetris26 (1996) to the latest and greatest releases like Zoo Keeper, Avalanche, Tower of Rubble, Venture Reloaded (2020) are covered in this checklist book. This edition is in full color on white paper and contains 150 pages covering every release for the VCS/2600 console. Cartridge labels are pictured after every letter chapter to show the differences between releases over the past 25+ years."

My plan is to have an updated checklist book every year (by Christmas) with the latest and greatest Atari 2600 homebrew releases all added within the current book.

    Bb Team,

Attached is another update Karl G has been helping a lot in the last few weeks with this game. I was actually looking back when I first started making stuff with Bb. I have came a long ways, but still so much more to learn.

b.) AFP - Looking for an 8GB SD Card lol.

    20210426_Pacman_Eat_n_Run.bas.bin 32 kB · 17 downloads

FYI - it does not load on the AFP. It gets stuck on the "loading" screen.

I recall that James mentioned something about making additional trophies where teams of people were involved, but I don't know if that was speculative or something he was actually planning to offer.

The second batch of trophies was shipped from here to James after the award show.

Hello!  I'm new to the site, but I do have an original Atari VCS 2600 and several hundred original cartridges.  I'm been reading about the Harmony cartridge and definitely will get one in the near future.  In the meantime, can you guys recommend some Homebrew games for me?  I'll likely buy some (or all) the Champ Game carts (Galagon, wow!), but what are some other good ones?

    Ed

    Welcome Ed!

I'd recommend any homebrew titles I have written in my 5 homebrew books! http://amazon.com/author/brianmatherne

Wow, this is cool!  I never knew of this Star Raiders themed McDonald's game before.  Did anyone here ever get these at game cards McDonald's back in 1982?  I hope some lucky kid got the Atari computer that was the grand prize for this game. Were the other Atari titles that McDonald did a game for?

As stated above there were 4 video game cards (Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, and Star Raiders). I was lucky enough to get a stack of Asteroids cards from my aunt and uncle that went to McD's on the last day of the contest and they gave them to me. I scratched all of them hoping to win, but didn't. So I have them in my collection today!.......

It is cool. I would place it in a nice case.  I have several of the ones pictured below, for my favs.  I've also used them in the past to transport games home from PRGE, etc.  Don't want a new CIB to get crushed, during my travel back home. There are not cheap, but are a quality case.  I purchased them from Collectible Grading Authority.  The SKU# was ATRBX.

I was there when Ed signed your Halo 2600 box!!!! 100% real!
