Want an AtariAge Badge for PRGE?
Arenafoot replied to Albert's topic in 2018 Portland Retro Gaming Expo
I thinking those are re-useable since they are not expo specific! -
iesposta - who made these conversions? This is the first I'm seeing of these turned into .wav files.

I was pushing hard for this sequel and I haven't been disappointed at all! This title is even better than the original! Who would have guessed that!! I've been beta testing Spies 2 since August for Jared and it is awesome!! I can't wait to see any more ideas the AA community can come up with. I've completed maps for Games 1 & 2 which are beatable as they stand now. One of my suggestions to Jared was to release a "Demo" ROM (like Darrell Spice Jr.'s Stay Frosty 2 "Demo" 8 level ROM) for the first 2 games, and then have all 4 games on the cartridge release (Game 1, 2, 3, & R). (I think) This is the ROM that Jared has provided above. Attached are some screenshots of Spies 2.

Albert has graciously offered to sell my books at the AtariAge booth during the 2018 Portland Retro Gaming Expo (PRGE) on October 19-21, 2018!! Anyone who hasn't purchased one of the copies thru Amazon can pick up one in person from Al and AtariAge at the show!!! Thanks, Albert! (and I'll be at the Houston Arcade Expo - the same weekend, signing my books for anyone buying them there)

Halloween Themed Atari 2600 Homebrew?
Arenafoot replied to ZeroPage Homebrew's topic in Homebrew Discussion
Scott, will you be releasing any of those ROMs? I have them all listed as "not released". -
Why do so many homebrew games don't have roms?
Arenafoot replied to Pixel Toad's topic in Atari 2600
yes and yes Last month alone, I've helped two programmers recover their artwork and manuals to their games. -

Yeah they rode them down, but stayed on the top bun and didn't reappear back into the game. -

Arenafoot replied to Pixel Toad's topic in Atari 2600
So, which ones are you looking for Pixel? With the invention of my "List", I've tried to make it easier for gamers to find the downloads and I'd say about 85% of them are available somewhere on the net. And even in my books, I list where you can find them. Of course, if you are looking for the newest (and unreleased) games, those would not be available online this soon. -
Good list! Some other options could be: - receive downloadable ROM /.bin (might not want to do this immediately) - receive cart and a manual - receive boxed game and patch?? (if you can make them like the old Activision patches) limited edition numbered carts/boxes thru Kickstarter only vs. unnumbered unlimited ones from TikiVision?? Just some ideas .....but you nailed most of them above Dan.

Want an AtariAge Badge for PRGE?
Arenafoot replied to Albert's topic in 2018 Portland Retro Gaming Expo
Albert - any chance of making some for the HAAG expo in Houston for those of us going to that one (the same weekend)? Maybe print them off and send them to me, Rows, or Darrell in one package to hand out? I know these gamers will be in attendance: "sramirez2008", "MajorHavoc", Darrell Spice Jr, Ed Fries, "Rowsdowner70", "Atarius Maximus", me....... -
No, but it has been determined that both games will be sold thru Tiki Interactive, which is Dan's company.
-
correct - none even made it to a released ROM
-
I fixed the credits for that hack - thanks. PM'd you with the info on the BG hack. If someone else is willing to work on 5200, 7800, Jag, 800, Lynx, etc homebrews and hacks, they are welcomed to. My speciality (and James') is the 2600.

Finally! A ROM of Choplifter! (after 3 other programmers attempted it)

Halloween Themed Atari 2600 Homebrew?
Arenafoot replied to ZeroPage Homebrew's topic in Homebrew Discussion
I wouldn't consider "Happy Halloween" a "demo" as it is an actual "playable" game. The Video Jack-O-Lantern is a demo since its just a title screen. Chris - would you be going back to it to finish? Last post on 8/23/07, stated that a new bin was coming the next day............. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/108451-happy-halloween-wip/?p=1357397 -
