Missadventure Revised (Adventure hack)
Arenafoot replied to accousticguitar's topic in Atari 2600 Hacks
Maybe he's asking for the sprites you used in this version to be added to the original Adventure.... -
I had that .zip file of bios already in that folder but never unzipped it. I unzipped it and copied all the files into the bios folder (see attached) ..... and still the same issue.
-
I get this screen when I double-click the console (see bottom pic). Then hitting <tab> goes to the exit at the bottom. I can't get to step #3. I've set up the proper folders and put the bios file in the bios folder and 7800 ROMs in the roms folder too. Maybe not compatible with Win7? I've had other emu's that don't work too.

no luck with #1 above on the new version - when I hit <tab> it highlights the "exit" button at the bottom

2018 Homebrew Tournament - Star Castle - Round 3
Arenafoot replied to LidLikesIntellivision's topic in Atari 2600
Yeah, I just happen to be on a roll during that game. A few of the rounds, I was able to get the opening and shoot the enemy at the same time as he shot me (which still advances you to the next round). -

Newbie questions on burning... Coleco 2600 "Looping" Cartridge
Arenafoot replied to tjrtech's topic in Atari 2600 Programming
I say go for it! The more programmers in the homebrew scene, the more ideas and the more creative games that come out of it! BTW - the ROM for Looping can be found on the AA site: https://atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=2389 Good Luck! I'll be watching for it. -

I never did understand why the original Blackjack uses a paddle instead of joystick controller. -

"Stranded" - My first ever attempt at writing an an Atari 2600 game.
Arenafoot replied to OldAtAtari's topic in batari Basic
I've already written two books in my series "The Atari 2600 Homebrew Companion" (volumes 1 & 2), and volume 3 will be in 2019 (see link in my signature below for the books). But currently I'm working/writing on two books at one time - a Holiday Homebrew Companion & a 2018: Year in Review Homebrew Companion. So any game posted between Jan 1st and Dec 31st - completed, released, WIP, demo, proof of concept, etc will be included in the book (with permission) - so hoping you continue this one.... I know nothing of programming - that's why I'm the curator of the "List" and now have branched out into book writing. James O'Brien (ZeroPage Homebrew Gaming videos) and I are trying to bring the homebrew scene to people who didn't know it existed, and give exposure to the programmers. I started the "List" out of a need to find an updated list of homebrews and hacks since the last homebrew posted on the AA website is from 2005 and you would have to search thru the forums here for everything else from 2005 to present day. Which is what I've completed in the first 3 years of the list (2013-2015). -
I'll be doing a book signing for my book series "The Atari 2600 Homebrew Companion" volumes 1 & 2 during the show at The Game Czar booth. The Game Czar will also be selling my book there if you haven't had a chance to pick it up from Amazon by then. Hope to see you all there in October! BTW - both Ed Fries and Darrell Spice Jr. have titles in BOTH books too! Hoping other homebrewers will join us in Houston!! Brian

Any more work on this??? -
My fault - that's what happens when someone (like me) doesn't know a thing about programming.

Same issue that Jared Gray West had with Quantum Tunnel - see this thread for info: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/169819-the-titlescreen-kernel/page-11?do=findComment&comment=4070420

Thanks! Will do! I couldn't find one.... you could always start one somewhere within the AA forums. Sort of a "Show your autographed collectables" thread.....

Make the "slow down scrolling" feature on difficulty switch A/Expert and keep the current on difficulty switch B/Novice. I say keep the old type scoring font too. Good work Dion!

Planning on doing the same thing with my books (Vol 1 & 2) at this years Houston Arcade Expo!
