Hah... paranoia first, THEN suspect the cat.
My cats turn the PS3 on almost daily.

It's a bit beyond my range at $100-$150 but of course far less than the $700 price tag it carried when I was a kid.
Seriously considering owning one. I think I paid $35 for my FZ-10, because it wasn't in mint condition and didn't come with a controller. Not the best scenario, but it can be done without spending $150.

I started seeing information on the web about modifying the Jaguar with AV outputs. Why would anyone do that if the Jaguar already outputs composite video? I plan on getting an AV cable and plugging into the back. Isn't that preferred over hacking the console?

Why bother getting a console-specific AV cable when you can use cables you already have? What will you do when you can't find that one lone specialized (and often) home-made cable?

Kickle Cubicle / Meikyūjima
Ikari 2 / Victory Road
Ikari 3 / The Rescue
Rainbow Islands
Gradius 2
Life Force / Salamander
Bubble Bobble 2 was an NES original, unless you mean Rainbow Islands by that.

You're just cranky because it's past your bedtime.

3DO FZ-10
mint condition
two controllers
Capcom fighting pad
Road Rash
Star Fighter
Gex
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
Very nice! The best version of an interesting console (does yours have S-Video out?), a good pair of controllers, and four of the top games on the system. I'm tempted to pull mine out of consosleep again....

I believe they are all 2x.
-
I don't believe so. Your best bet is to pick up a used system with games.

there are a thousand ways to play dos on TV, heck I even have dosbox on xbox
Sho nuff. Chances are good that anybody browsing this thread already owns something capable of running DOS or DOSBox on a television.

Your old laptop (which probably is from 2000 at the oldest) will play 1991 shareware games?
It runs Win98/DOS so I don't see any reason it shouldn't. What more would be needed?
-
I already have one.
It's called an old laptop.

I use this exact pad on my PS1. Been playing Castlevania. Works great.

My CRT accepts YPbPr component input, but because that's difficult to get from older systems, I try to connect everything with S-Video. So far I've had to mod my Genesis 1, Genesis 3, 32X, Jaguar, and TurboGrafx. I'm glad the 3DO and SNES support it natively.

Personally, I can't stand the AVGN. His schtick wears thin pretty quick.
Yup. The whole "don't read the manual, then make a dopey face" gag that his entire persona is based on got old after, oh, the second time.

Unfortunately UndergroundGamer has been shut down, or you'd have probably found them there.

theloon: you're not discouraging him, and you're only bumping his post back up.

On the cusp of purchasing a 32x for my CDX. Can anyone or 'ones' definitively tell my OCD ass that it, the 32x, won't in anyway 'fry' or damage my CDX??
PLEASE and THANK YOU!!

While nobody can promise that... did you somehow miss the multiple posts saying that it works great?
-
Uhhh keep the Genesis, and if you feel like you need more, get a Sega CD.

does any of the older RetroN systems play Super Famicom games?
The only difference is the shape of the cartridge. A game genie makes a cheap "SFC->SNES adaptor" if you find that SFC carts don't physically fit your console.
-
If it fits, it should work.

Bitte!
