  1. Good deal? No. That's a godlike deal.
  2. Just to make sure I've got this correct before I start soldering... you've left out both of the original mod's 47K to 68K resistors, and where it originally included a 75 ohm resistor, you're simply not making that connection?
  3. Wooden ball from a craft store, painted?
  4. Hey LH, enjoying the "coldfront"?
  5. Right, and somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard a bit about the composite output on his s-video mod having a bit of a delay or lag, or some funky issue. Of course, you can always add an s-video to composite convertor to the mod's s-video output.

If you have a Fry's Electronics in the area... $2.50 or so
  7. Honestly, it doesn't take great soldering skills, and so few parts are required that radio shack MAY have what you need (for once!). Also, since you're able to buy online, you might check out BG Micro for parts. edit: That kit on ebay REALLY looks like somebody just slapped together the same mod that's described in our 7800 forum here & jacked up the price by $25.
  8. It's something we just learn to expect from Activision carts. Can't be helped, really. New labels are probably the only solution.
  9. Same here. Also, how common are reproduction carts on eBay?
  10. ^ Same here. The pressure from a showerhead just does not clean out all the little grooves/valleys/crevices in my consoles & accessories.
  11. Q: Are the carts sometimes/ever marked as being reproductions? I'm not really familiar with how they're hocked on eBay.
  12. Choplifter would be nice; I don't own and can't find Ninja Golf.
  13. Yeah, I wouldn't stuff brittle 30 year old plastic in the dishwasher. It may be safe and I'm sure people have done this without harm, but I just use a cloth & toothbrush in the sink too.

Looks like it'll be the best $100 atari purchase since I got my 7800, neaaaato
  15. I'm highly interested in the full expansion module and, depending on what's announced for it, may like to order one.
  16. Iron Soldier's okay in the context of it being the only game like it on the system, but I've played Mechwarrior 2, man. I'm spoiled.
  17. Well, it is sort of different than the NES. They've dropped the word "Video" from the acronym. That'd be like calling the Nintendo Entertainment System the "NS". Similarly annoying to me are the people who call the original playstation "PSX" when there's no X in the name at all.
  18. Homemade? Go for it. Officially-licensed, store-bought? Not happening, isn't financially viable.
  19. I know very few of them work on my 7800 because of the fit in the cart slot, but that doesn't seem to be your problem. Sorry.
  20. Oh man, these misspellings are the best incentive I've found so far to learn 2600/7800 programming. I want to be the author of Fapper, Poke Position, and Mongul Maniac!
  21. While I doubt bleaching a cart would turn it white, I am interested in seeing what actually does happen... I figure the caustic bleach would warp the plastic somehow. I wonder if using some high-concentration hydrogen peroxide would be better.
  22. Hah, I still remember the one of the old dude jerkin' it to Dig Dug
  23. Any word on how many players will be supported?
  24. Depends to what extent you want to take the idea of money being no object... I mean, the comic is still worth more, so I'd take the comic. But if you're saying money matters to nobody, then gimme some games.
