  1. Why did they not use an additional controller port on the TG16? They eventually sold a peripheral that allowed 2 players did they not? I am not sure what that had to do with what I was talking about regarding the VCS but I guess I can sort of see your point.
  2. If the VCS was intended to be a gaming system for one player, they would have manufactured it with one joystick port only. How does a person really play any game with one's self? If Bushnell is so dissatisfied with the video game industry, being the well known and respected person that he supposedly is, why doesn't he join the helm of some new project and produce something along the lines of what he is talking about? Rescue the minds and families of today from this onslaught of "trash" games. Put your money where your mouth is buddy.
  3. Please send me a PM if you can help. Thanks.
  4. Well.. Today I picked up Tombstone City, munch Man, and TI Invader so I am all set once I score a console.
  5. Thanks so far. Still looking for more of a recommendation for some of the best games.
  6. Cool. That sounds pretty hardcore. What are the best games to get?
  7. I just scored a few games for this system (Parsec, Fathom, Super Demon Attack, and Chisholm Trail) but have yet to find a console to play them with. I would like to start a thread devoted to this system seeing as it appears to be more of an obscure line. Could all of the TI-99/4A collectors please show yourselves and contribute to this discussion. Right now all I am looking for is sort of a "My Top 10" favorite games list from you as well as maybe some "things you should know" suggestions or ideas. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hopefully they do because it would be pretty hillarious to watch it all unfold.
  9. Man. I just played that Froggie beta. Dude. This is bloody awesome!!!! I am really surpised that there aren't more comments on here about this. Really looking forward to this one.
  10. Nice collection if it's all NTSC. If I were to put a price on it, I would say the lot is worth between $150 to $200. There are two or three boxed games in there that are worth a quite bit.
  11. WARNING: Sticking one's member into the 7800 console's cartridge slot may cause a severe electrical shock and could result in harmful injury or death. Please ensure that the power supply for the 7800 console is removed from the wall before attempting to insert.
  12. The demo for this game is wicked!! Nice work kenfused.
  13. The hacked 7800 trackball version of Centipede plays with analog control, just like the 5200 version.
  14. Can or would anyone else finish any of the unfinished OpCode projects for Eduardo while he deals with his personal issues? I know that the members of the colecovision yahoo group are also quite a talented bunch of programmers.
  15. Trackball 7800 Centipede freakin' rules!!better than 5200
  16. Well.. At least we know for sure that the game definitely sucks.
  17. Regardless of whether this game turns out to be real or not, most of what has transpired in this thread is still a crock.
  18. I tried to bid this morning on an auction listed in Ontario, Canada that states clearly in the item description that they ship to the US and Canada. My bid would not go through because the seller accidentally set up the auction so that it only ships to the US and therefore all Canadian bids are forced to be not accepted. Un-freaking real I tell ya!! With a little under 3 hrs remaining, I doubt I will be able to get a bid in after emailing the seller. Hopfully the guy fixes it. Anyone else ever have this problem?
  19. Preferrably looking to buy one for a reasonable price. Please PM if you can help. Thanks.
  20. Facebook is OK but Atariage is way cooler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I used to think this but.. No. I doubt I ever will. My XEGS works for me.
  22. You are right. I am way out of touch with modern gaming. Your subtle condescension is also noted. All seriousness aside though, it becomes easy to see how MMORPG's and multiplayer gaming is becoming quite social in the sense that most players likely sit alone late at night in a dark room enjoying an evening with their tightly knit network of avatar brethren. I have yet to try this sort of game out myself but I must say that Warhawk for PS3 looks totally rad!!!!
  23. I think the point people are mising here is that the 2600 was more of a two player machine with many of the original games being score oriented and two player focussed where as many if not most of today's games are one player centered and less social.
