Interest Check: Boxed Master Builder *Now With Pics*
birdie3 replied to chromizone's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Sounds good I would say $25 would be the friend price, $40 the Ebay price. Just my opinion though I always sell stuff a little cheaper to friends. Sure. I would rather trade the game as opposed to attempting to sell it anyway so go figure. -
Quite a few of the Red Label games have a pause feature as well. The VCS actually does have the pause feature so please don't say that it does not. Saving games would be redundant.

Interest Check: Boxed Master Builder *Now With Pics*
birdie3 replied to chromizone's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Hey.. I am not looking to get alot for it. A fair trade would be good. Make an offer if you are interested. I wouldn't value a loose one at more than $30-$40 tops. Someone correct me if I am wrong. -

I have a loose Master Builder for sale or trade if anyone is interested. Send me a PM. Cheers!! -
No offense taken here. This is a good point that seemed to have been articulated rather passionately. Perhaps someday a gifted "ideas/designer" type of person will learn how to program. In the meantime, it would be nice to see a true visual artist collaborate with a programmer to design a respectable and original new game.
-
OK. With it being pointed out that there is obviously a distinct difference between game design and game programming, why does there seem to be no collaboration between the designers and the programmers when it comes to homebrews? Seems rather unfortunate. There is a lot of talent on both sides of the fence. Why not work together to create a masterpiece? Surely this must make sense to someone..

Only a few hours left..

I too believe that there should be more original titles being produced as opposed to more conversions. It would be great to see some new ideas instead of re-hashes of the classics that we are already used to. I wonder why the trend thus far has been to predominantly create conversions.

Wii frustration; do I give in to eBay temptation?

Eventually they are going to be everywhere. What the heck is the big deal in waiting a few weeks? Come January 2007, they will be super easy to acquire I am sure. -

It would be interesting to know if the ROM in this cart is different from any other Front Line ROM. I doubt it but you never know. I seem to remember mumbai or someone like that saying on one of the forums a while back that he has opened many Colecovision carts that have these inside of them. I wonder why Coleco did this. Maybe some of these games were manufactured directly at a Colecovision repair depot. I know of one person who connected with one of the people who ran one of these repair depots here in Canada a few years back and this person managed to acquire quite a few similar EPROM carts from them.
-
Thanks for most of the responses. This is a Front Line cart that I recently acquired. I noticed that the cart felt heavier than most si I decided to weigh it. While most CV carts seem to weigh between 2 to 2.5 oz, this one weighs just slightly over 3 oz. I found this to be rather strange so I decided to open it up to see what was inside. The pic shows what I found. So much for my dorkasm.

Could someone who knows more about this sort of thing please confirm what I have here? This is an EPROM board as far as I can tell. Thanks in advance.
