  1. Have you a link to the Xe/XEGS-Schematics to compare? 800XL Schematics i have in the "ATARI Profibuch" from Sybex. Valerie
  2. Hi, i'm looking about an external Keyboard for my 800XL or 130XE. I look not for a PC-Keyboard. I think about a ext. Keyboard that use a original 800XL-Keyboard as Basis (the 130XE-Keyboard is ugly). I think a 800XL-Case (Top-Part only) can be a good start, maybe with an DB25-Connector.
  3. The Keyboard of the 130XE is urgly, feels like a rubber by pushing a Key.
  4. What mean IIRC? Thanks for the Tipp, thats must wait until Christmas.
  5. Many thanks for offer - you have a PM from me. Valerie Hi Valerie I PM'ed you about an SDrive NUXX. I have 1 set of parts left, enough to build one more unit. Did you see my message?
  6. Are this the SIO-Cables? Best Electroics: ------------------ CAA007 CABLE I/O 13 PIN 3 FOOT 9.95 CAA008 CABLE I/O 13 PIN 5 FOOT 14.95 Valerie B&C ComputerVisions and Best Electronics sell them.
  7. Hi Mathy, i look a the moment only for a SDrive and find the SDrive NUXX very nice. But i have a XM301-Case and that what for Conversation for SIO2SD, but i dont can it by my self at the moment, because my Health. I will read the respective Thread at tommorow. Valerie
  8. You can minimize lagging by increase the Run-Priority (Task-Manager)of the Emulator to High or Highest - Realtime is not the best idea -, that eleminates the most of the lags.
  9. Can anyone build a Ready-to-use SDrive NUXX for me? Naturally i will pay for it. I come from Germany and i can pay via paypal. In October i have Birthday, that were a big surprise for me, when i can this Device then hold in my Hands. At the moment, my Health don't allow me to build this as DIY-Project. Valerie P.S. Where can i buy SIO-Cables?
  10. I had not know, that the actual Situation are so bad. I understand the Problems for Third-party Developers and it makes me angry. SIO2PC USB ist a fine piece of Hardware, but use only with APE makes me not happy. I not ready pay $50 for APE, it's to expensive in my opinion.
  11. I have read on AtariMax.com, as i receive my SIO2PC(USB) and RTFM, that Steve Tucker will in the future open the Protocoll and publish a Documentation, so that that SIO2PC-Software can use the USB-Version. It seems a Time-Problem, Steve Tucker is busy.
  12. As i look for a Nettop, i look for one only with WinXP, Win7 was no option for me. All my Computers - all from 2005 or older, except the Nettop - run with WinXP. I will upgrade to the successor of Win7 or got to Linux (i use Ubuntu under vmware), when i must buy new Computers in 4-5 Years. And i look instandly for an Memory-Upgrade for my Nettop and have installed 2GB, i dont know is Win7-Starter acceppting more then 1GB RAM.
  13. The TEXT-Function in TBXL work internally only with 8*8 Pixel-Blocks like the Standardsize of Character-Sets. This mean, all not set Bits will Display in the Background-Color and will deleting the Display at this place. If you want a enhanced TEXT-Function you have to write it by your self, most powerful in Assembler. METalGuy66 give you a useful hint.
  14. After a long Time i have setup again my A8-Workplace.

  15. After a long Time i have setup again my A8-Workplace.

  16. I was born one Year before Woodstock, and my first Contact with Computers was in 1983 with a TI 99/4a. My first own ATARI was a 600XL in 1985, later then in bought used 800XL with 1050 and a 400er and some other HomeComputer (Sharp MZ-821, C= Plus/4, Tompson To707). In 1989 i have exchanged all my HomeComputer-Stuff in a Shop for used Computers to my first IBM-Compatible PC (8088/512KB/2*FDD 360KB/Hercules Graphics) to learn Turbo Pascal. I the Year 2002 i come back to the HomeComputers.
  17. How was the way to do this? Do you used SuPacker - delete the first Block and then save)? EDIT: OK, i have test it by myself by using SUPACKER.COM - ERASE follw Blocks: DATA 2000-2055 and INIT 2000, then save.
  18. I can't vote, because i have not enough experiences with the various Storage-Devices. I have for a few days receive my first SIO2PC-Device (the USB-Edition) and try something with APE (Trial). SIO2PC with the right Software have the benefit, that it is possible to reach also other Devices e.g. Printer or Modem(Telnet) via a PC. Is only a Storage-Devices needed, actual i would buy a SIO2SD, i think in compatibility with the original OS. About the MyIDE-Interface in any kind i have not enough Informations (Usability/Compatibility), but i would use it only with CompactFlash-Cards (via Adapter). Where can i get more Informations about the conditions of MyIDE? I very interested i the announced SpeedDrive.
  19. I think shorter Versions (Number of Sectors) are possible. COM-Files are most not monolithic Files, they are organized in Blocks. Each Block are loaded to an other Memory-Location. I thing the Title-Screen (Screen-Data and Code) are a Block of the File. It will loaded and started (the Title-Screen will displayed) and the the follow Blocks of the File will loaded. You have "only" to eliminate or replace the Title-Block. You can analyze this with Disk-Editors, Debugger (Emulator), Frezzer and Disassembler. But i think, we have to let our Hands of from the TBXL-Code - TBXL is great and have for me the status of an Monument. But also i think about a new/fresh TBXL-Implementation, maybe as an TBXL Cross-Compiler - that could be a great tool.
  20. 1983? The XC11 wasn't released until around 1985 or 1986. You are right, i now remember that i bought my first 800XL in 1986, previously i had a TI 99/4a borrowed from friends of my parents. I had forgotten that the 800XL was not my first computer.
  21. I have bought my new XC11 in 1983 with my first new 800XL (previously i bought only used) in a "Photo Porst"-Shop in Germany. I wanted to have a 1010, but it was nowhere to buy.
