  1. It would actually be really cheap to produce a supercharger comp on 7" vinyl. All of the supercharger programs would easily fit on a 7". The company I went through didn't really like the project because the audio frequencies of the code ran the risk of damaging their equipment.... also, when I was researching this project, I discovered that Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks did something kind of cool on vinyl for the ZX Spectrum
  2. Thanks for all the feedback! I intend on uploading a YouTube video of the process of making the record and showing it in action. The Dragonstomper record is a fun gimmick as a conversation piece, but pretty much pointless since I have the harmony cart. It's cool to know about all of the 80s musicians that used program audio on their albums. I will post more bonkers ideas as I see them to fruition.
  3. Just for the hell of it, I recently had a local record shop cut a copy of Dragonstomper on 10" vinyl from the original cassette. It was cut on a record lathe at 33 rpm. It worked like I expected. I was able to play the game just fine. I realize there is no viable reason for this, but it's pretty damn neat. Has anyone heard of this being done before? Have any other types of games been played from record album?
  4. AD&d is definitely ranks high up there with my favorite intellivision games. It is is very fast paced for intellivision. If you are a fan of colecovision, Gateway to Apshai has a similar style and is also a lot of fun.
  5. Isn't there a whistle sound in some of the sports games? As for Chuck Norris, Superkicks is playable on the 7800. Good enough for me!
  6. Just registered. I'm a MAJOR classic console packrat Last week I picked up a bundle of 2600 and 5200 systems, games and accessories for $50. Included were the Wico command control with y cable and the masterplay interface with fire button. the systems and games work great, but I am having issues with the wico and masterplay. Initially both of them worked without a hitch, but then the controls through the masterplay started going haywire as if the controller was being mashed up and to the left. The Wico works well enough other than the fact that sometimes it will not register all the way to the right. for most games this is okay, but for breakout and space invaders it can be quite frustrating! Also I have a second 5200 system that plays , but a vertical line always runs all the way down the screen on every game. if you touch it in space invaders its as if you have been shot. Could it be that these items just need to be cleaned? anyone have any advice on how. Also I have 2 switch boxes that work fine, but are corroded as all hell any advice on giving those a thorough cleaning. Thanks.
