If you're looking into 6502 stuff, I recommend posting here at atariage when you have questions, in the 2600 programming section. It takes awhile to click, but people here are glad to help.

  6. Bonne Année! Happy New Year!

  7. Well, you need to make a commitment and understand that you're not going to have your hand held all the way if you're wanting to do assembler programming for the '2600. I suggest that you install Eclipse, then WUDSN, and then you'll have a lovely IDE with syntax highlighting of your code. But any modern IDE is going to require some basic understanding of configuration of external tools, etc. I'm just trying to say -- you want to do it, then you have to make the effort to do it. Good luck! Cheers A thanks for the the tools, Ill take a look next year
  8. like most newbie, the environnement is not user friendly compare to visual bb with batari. Honestly I think that its this which discourage many of us to even start with the basic of your lessons. Besides I dont despair about buying a book version of your work. To dig myself a bit deeper, I should also add that setting visual bb working with batari was a bit painfull as its not a auto install process either...
  9. Is it possible to have a tutorial to set up all tools correctly on windows or mac and a "hello world" example? I ve bought an old edition of Programming the 6502 from Rodnay Zaks but I just don't get it for the moment.
  10. was there a upcoming homebrew game taking place in showers or was it my imagination?

  12. I played it on Harmony Cart on Pal, despite the wrong palette of color, the game is fun and very addictive to play. A bit difficult with the controller but still very challenging. If it's affordable, I will buy a cart too.
  13. Is there a PAL version available? or will it be NTSC only?
  14. For having these kind of controller, I assure you that buttons are not well responsive for quickfiring game. As the Atari got only four directions recognized, it is also difficult to use diagonal with these joystick.
  15. I would say all Activision cartridges doesn't fill well into my 7800 Pal. I also have California Games from Epyx that need strenght to go in. I 'll ask my bro to test a tigervision one later.
  16. I hope it will have a modern video output so that you musn't have to wonder to what u should plug it.
  17. quoted from the wiki page of atari It could be a tribute to that but the console name could be different from the company name...
  18. A bit late for voting but I choose 3200 yet I dont like the design. It's not as classy as 2600 vader or 7800. I miss the O'shea 7800 design. For the name of the product, just call it "ACS" stand for Atari Compatible System. Like Amiga, it start with an A, so it will display on top of lists sorted by alphabetical order.
  19. (Sigh)... Could you stop pollute this thread if you are not interested in this project?
  20. Hi Curt, You've mentionned that the technical manual will be thick and only available via pdf. Will it be possible that you send instead the file to a selfbooking company such as lulu.com or any other one for let the customers pay all the cost? Regards.
  21. Can't wait for a cartridge release, the game is very challenging.
