Awesome! Lots of great games for it, and new ones like Orion Prime and Sub Hunter.

oops didn't saw your comment till now. Yes my bro bought Orion Prime in box and the quality is awesome!

  3. thanks for the threads. I knew its not composite but I though it could be a kind of RGB component output similar to the Amiga as you could directly plug an amiga in TV but not a VCR. When reading the 7800 blueprint, there are separate channel for R,G and B (upper right part of the blueprint as far as I remembered) so I hope I can make it... hmm... seems not so easy now.
  4. Unless you have a French SECAM/Peritel 7800 . It has an additional video circuit. Yes I though the problem could come from that despite the burst signal is the same in PAL or SECAM. So I've plug it into an VCR which recognize both PAL/SECAM standard but the screen still black. I got an old BETASP which got a component plug so I though that I could easily solder a cable but the 7800 blueprint doesn't show the output assignement.
  5. uh... I mean it got a kind of SCART to be plugged to TV but the signal seems to be RGB as I can't have something when I use a common VCR to watch it.
  6. I'm trying to make a cable to connect my 7800 to a betaSP recorder which has a 12-PIN component Input. As I guess the plug of the 7800 is impossible to find as stand alone, I want to add a female SCART -> 12 PIN component cable at the end of the 7800 cable. does someone know what signal goes out of the SCART of the 7800 so that I can solder it correctly to the component cable?
  7. Hi, just to say that I've tried to use it with the classic kernel plus the pfcolors and pfheights in RAM by SeaGtGruff tip to change the background colors with supercartridge. It didn't shake at all but turns randomly on/off colors on the screen. funny but I wasn't loking for that .
  8. just an idea on visualbb: Is it possible to have a pagination when printing? my cat had the idea to jump atop my programs notes and it took me time to reorganise the sheets thanks.
  9. I must say that the gameplay is very original. Anyone for a conversion?
  10. Yohooo got the mail hope post office will not drawn the box in water like my harmony cartridge...

    21 Blue

    no news about a release?
  12. to complete my point of view: I've started making movies on VHS by editing tape to tape in the early 90. The quality is dreadful compare to current standards, but the point is that the support isn't important at all. If the game is fun to play (and the last time I play Seaweed Assault it was) then its perfect. making the ultimate game is a good goal but it could be endless, I d rather catch pieces of dreams and make them real even they are not quite what I'm dreamed of. you could see a work in progress about my game here: Drakhan's Night
  13. Hi RT, as I got the same dilemma, I'll tell you what I'm doing for my own game: Finishing it and if the next version of bB just need little adjustements, release a "Enhanced" version
  14. the 3 haven't the same scale as "Flashback"... Hope Curt will propose something like the silver 7800 with Svideo output one day.
  15. Hope it will be released in PAL... If it ever make it out to market.
  16. It's a bit worrying as there is no piece of news on the official website... Someone got news about the XM?
  17. I voted for atari already cos I like the classy texture of the case but as I like beautiful labels, the best cartridges are ACTIVISION ones.
  18. My lessons in electronics are a bit far away so I can only sit and wait for your project. I think if you can go thru it, it could become a hit as there are not so many new devices for the 2600 like the XM for the 7800. I really think its a good idea to have a remote device that emulate all the switches of the 2600 or the 7800. Good luck...
  19. I ass-u-me that it is possible to detect keypads and paddles since they have pins connected by resistors. Not joysticks though. And I guess that Driving controllers could be deduced by what pins are connected to what... I made a circuit using a keypad controller and a programmable microcontroller (I REALY need to finish it) to be used as a remote device for all the console switches. I programmed it to detect if a keypad controller was connected (12 options), and if not assume that a joystick was (5 options). I also will make it detect a track and field controller if left and right are pushed at the same time upon powerup, since that is not normally possible with a joystick. What a promising device!!! I'll order one if you go thru as I think the switches are really the weak points of all atari stuff ! It's perfect for the kind of game I'm making.
  20. Hi, I wonder if its possible to detect if something is plugged into the joystick slot? for example: If something in port1 then .... else ... Silly question to ask but I'm curious
  21. Nice game (I die at level 3) but why not changing the title of the game like "Titanic" or "The Poseidon". Playing a such negative character is really not fun for me, especially when you know people who barely escaped a wicked father in the real world...
  22. I think a classic atari mold but in a dark blue plastic will be nice...
  23. Thanks, I missed that post about the delay...
