In order to compete with the Minimig on the Amiga-side, the MCC-216 also needs a considerable boost in game compatibility. At the moment, only ~30-50% are working properly. Please note that the compatibility list linked above only lists games which are working or at least partly working. Arcade Retro Gaming is working an a big improvement step for the AMIGA core. According to the unofficial MCC forum:http://www.retrorebooted.com/mcc/forum/index.php the work on a brand new very powerful 68000 CPU implementation. This will be the most powerful 68k ever implemented in an FPGA with a wide compatibility range. With this they will boost the compatibility to a new level which should exceed the MiniMig implementation. Can't wait to see this new AMIGA core.

The real time behavior is the tricky part if you use a software based emulation. With the MCC-216 you get a real hardware based emulator based on an reimplementation of the whole ATARI 2600 chip set. We support the VGA output port and with this you get a very crisp picture way better as the original ATARI 2600 console itself. You can add easy all you favorite ATARI2600 games. Simple copy it under the User folder on the SD-card. Enjoy now the MCC-216 with an USB Joypad similar to X-Box and PS-3. More fun for Retro Games ! More to come....

Fantastic stuff, though the old C64 still maintains all its appeal to me, despite the clumsiness of the 1541 drive Yes the C64 was and is a great machine. Integrating the 1541 and using the new SD-card capacity to fit all C64 software on one card is a really nice technology enhancement. We like especially the simple switch between discs with a button on the keyboard. No shuffling of 5 1/4 discs any longer.

You might be on the right track I would buy this in a heartbeat if I knew when that was coming. (Or could be a beta tester.) If you like to be a beta tester for the AMIGA core and own an MCC-216 either as S-video or as VGA version please contact us under [email protected] and we will add you to the list. Happy Retro Gaming

Reset the MCC and start the BC Quest for tire normal. Press Highscore and if you asked for Reset hit N for no. You see an empty high score list. Now play the game and enter your name in the empty high score. Press F12 and the Disc:x text get inverse. WAIT until all sectors completely written to the 1541 drive (RAM). After wards press the menu button on the keyboard (one between ALT right key and the right CTRL key). You see the disc goes back to normal. Reset the MCC and start the BC Quest for tire normal. We updated the web page and the 404 error is fixed now. You can download the release note and this has the instruction. Anyhow you figured it out on your own. We are in the final touches for the ATARI 2600 core. We discovered some issues we like to fix before we launch it officially. However it shouldn't be long now. Let's see if we can have an additional Christmas gift under the tree. Really, I'm still getting error 404 when trying to down load the Menu file. Tried IE and FireFox. Even dumped cache. Did you reload the page ? Looks like our provider has some issues with linking uploaded files. Please try again in 1h.
