You can clean it with water, soap, and an anti static brush, then rinse with the hose. You mention something about corrosion, so according to this you need to clean the board with a 50/50 water/white vinegar solution (don't know if instead of water/soap or in addition to) to clean the corrosion. Also make sure to dry down to the last drop of water with say, a hair drier before you apply power to the unit.
