I might be interested. If you put out an asking price, please PM me.

I'm looking for a non-NOAC famiclone. PM me!

Do you need to add water?

Shit, I had a dream that the xm was ready to ship. Aww well.
-
I currently have only $16 in my Paypal in my account, and I don't have any intention of putting more in. Does anyone have an easily fixable Nomad, or a few busted Game Gears that they'd like to sell for that price?
-
It's GameStop corporate policy to hire douchebags.
-
For initials, the XE keyboard sounds like it's optional. An Atari keypad isn't as, well, sophisticated as a keyboard. You can do more with it.
-
Keep a very close eye on the demos of the XM at this show, Mark is going to show a hardware addon working on the XM that is going to freak people out!!!! Caught me really off guard today when I got the newest BIOs update.... This will get a lot of gears turning in coders minds on exploiting.
You can guess and speculate all you want, Mark and I aren't saying anything, you'll have to either see it in person at the show or wait for the demo video

An add-on for an add-on? I hope it has something to do with Atari floppy drive compatibility!

Excuse me, I just wet my self a bit.

MY 7800 has been in a plastic bin for a few months now. I pulled it out today, and to my horror, I found a few small scratches on the metal plate. I was wondering if anyone has successfully gotten scratches out of it before. Would the old 'toothpaste and cloth' trick work?
-
I'm currently looking for a Commodore 64 (breadbox or 64c) or a Family BASIC keyboard.
-
@acousticguitar That makes sense, but there isn't a whole lot I can do Atari-wise that would be unique to this competition.
-
It would be a real cartridge, label and all. The entry fee is not for any personal gain. It's simply to actually make the winner's prize. Anything else would be, I don't know, donated to AA and NA.
-
An in-person thing would be impossible. I just wanted to do something small. I don't know, I guess I'm in the wrong crowd for this sort of thing...

Greetings fellow AtariAge members; I bring good news. I want to organize a retro gaming competition! It will work like so: one or more game(s) will be chosen for a certain system, and during a given period of time, contestants will try to get the highest score. To record your score, do it the old fashioned way, by taking a picture of your screen! The picture would then be sent in. At the end of the competition, the winner would be announced.
I know this leaves a lot of questions and concerns, so I will address those. If I receive enough contestants from AtariAge, there will be an Atari 2600 competition, and if I receive enough NintendoAge contestants, there will be an NES competition. Winners of either competitions will receive a prize.
Expected Questions/Concerns

How do we know you’re not a scammer?
While I don’t post much on AtariAge or NintendoAge, I am an active member of FamicomWorld, I have my own blog where I write about retro games, and I am a contributor for the Classic Game Room website. I am merely a collector who thought this would be fun.

Can’t someone cheat?
This is where I rely on the community. Cheating really won’t win you a whole lot, but as a precautionary measure, anyone listed on the “bad trader/seller/buyer” thread and did not resolve their transaction issue is automatically ineligible from registration. Also, anyone who edits their pictures (yes, I will know) is immediately disqualified.
-
What will the winner receive?
I plan on making a custom SNES cartridge with a Super Mario World hack, made specially for this competition.
-
Why a SNES cart? Why not NES or Atari 2600?
I know very little about Atari programming, and nothing about NES programming. The SNES will let me do something special...
-
Will it cost anything to enter?
I am planning for a $3 entry fee if enough people participate.
Again, nothing is set in stone. I just want a show of hands who would want to compete. I am hoping for 20 people to join for each competition. Thanks, and I hope I can let the game begin!

@Lendorien Your post reminds me of something I read a while back. It said that if you tell people what they're waiting for, they're less likely to complain or become frustrated.
Just throwing that out there.

I know I'm not a prominent member on the forums, but I do a bit of writing on my blog. If you care to, check it out and see if it's what you're looking for: techsquid.blogspot.com

I realized that I used to have a Multi-Boy, and somehow lost it.... Which means I must buy it again. Here's a picture:

Give me a price.

Same here.

And who are "They?" I don't see what your talking about, have you personally had an issue?seems to contradict your own statement in another thread:"Once again, the encouragement and support from the forum is outstanding."
Or are you just looking to add DRAMA?That comment I made was satirical, because my thread went about a week without a real comment or suggestion about a game I programmed.
And "they" are just various members on this forum and abroad that have made comments about the forum not welcoming new programmers.
I can understand not tolerating having trash put up and and asked to buy it, but when someone asks for an opinion about something they made, it doesn't take much effort to type "I like it" or "I don't".
I'm 15 by the way, so I can relate to OP here.

So this is what they meant when they told me the forum wasn't very "noob friendly".

Also, I know that no one really wants to deal with the newbie for fear of me being a scammer, but know that I am an active member of Famicomworld.com and on eBay.
