  1. Is there way to practice one event? I'm doing pretty darn good with the first events, but the last 2 are killing me good and I would love to practice just those 2 for a while to get the timing right for them without having to break my arm through the first few events.
  2. Thanks for the video. I can't say it helped me, but I can see a few places I can do better for sure. You are very good with the hammer throw and javelin. Oh and dont' worry, your son will play if you do. They start earlier than you might think, but I wouldn't go giving him a controller just yet. He might be a little young for it right now.
  3. I have known I wanted this game for a long long time, but I never did pre order and I'm not really freaking out to get it tomorrow. I know I should be. This is odd to me. I guess I just have enough going on to distract at the moment. That limited edition is pretty sweet though. How much did that cost?
  4. Gotta love a father son rivalry. Bring it kid, as I remember Scrabbler can bring the pain. As for myself, a little improvement, but I did finish the game and I think I may have given my self Atari elbow if that is such a thing. 66,540
  5. 47,040 I'm doing better, but I still can't clear the hammer throw. I can barely keep the hammer in play. What is the minimum to clear that event? Is there something simple here I'm over looking or is it just timing and practice like most VCS games?
  6. That hammer throw hates me, I just know it. I have to rest my arm now. 42,060
  7. This is something I have put more and more thought into learning about. I don't know how far I'll go with it, but I have done some programming in the past and would like to know enough about programming for the 2600 not to be lost when people are talking about it. Has anything been done with this since the last link to Lulu? Is that book on Lulu the same stuff as the PDF files linked in this thread? I have been reading that some, but would like to have it printed and bound if that is out there. I guess I'm asking for one post with the updates in it. It is a bit of a challenge to keep up with what is the most recent update through this thread. If anyone could help out I would love to alteast read about this.
  8. As soon as I saw that picture I knew I wanted that controller. Then I read the post. You were right. For the most part that would solve the problem for me. I could deal with that just fine and it would be a marked improvement over the original for all I can see. Thanks for telling me about that one.
  9. You would think free shipping would have been offered in this. I mean really, someone came off almost 14k for this game and still had to pick up shipping? Man what an auction.
  10. It has happened, and is happening right this very moment. There is one cart being sold right now that is at $9000 with the reserve not met and another sold for over 10k this week. So while it might not be common, "a 2600 cart" can sell for 4k or more. Maybe not that one, but "a 2600 cart" can.
  11. I just noticed there was a Ruxbin on this list at one time. That must have gone pretty fast. I haven't seen one of those in forever.
  12. I would much rather pay for the game and unlock all these 1000s of items as I play. The game looks like a lot of fun, but having to pay for every item you want will be a real pain in the ass and not something I want to get involved in. There was another F2P game I really liked and I can't remember the name. It had Street of Rage style combat with an RPG inventory system... very cool style game with a lot to like, but if you want to enjoy the game you end up paying for all kinds of crap. Free to play? Yep! Free to really enjoy? Who knows!
  13. I had a modded xbox at one time with an N64 emulator. I can say beyond a question the xbox contorller worked much better for N64 games than the N64 controller did. As a matter of fact I might have to get another modded xbox just to play Mario 64 again. Wow, when I think of it that way it makes it really bad. I must really hate that controller more than even I thought if I'm willing to buy and mod and xbox to play N64 games I already own just to get around the controller.Yeah, thats bad. Just found this controller. Looks like it might solve the problem with some games, but I can't imagine how it plays things like Mario 64. I might just have to get one of these to try out. Looks very interesting to be sure. This might make playing Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub Zero much easier, and I have always like that game for some odd reason.
  14. He could just as easily do nothing on this. I can't see 100 of these selling and even that is a very small number of people in the grand scheme of things. I over looked the religion in all this to be honest so I guess that could play a role I didn't account for. Good call. You could very easily be right or very close to the truth of the matter. A Bible box would be pretty cool actually. Maybe a custom shaped box that is the two tablet the 10 commandments were on. As you unfold the 2 tablets the game is suspending in the middle gate fold style. Either way, I'm truly sorry I started this legal mess back up. Lets all hug and move along. Deal? I have to learn to program for the 2600. I think Satan might be a bit under represented in the gaming library.
  15. I'm not lawyer, and I don't have to be right. I'll assume you know more about this than I do and let that be. This person has done nothing with this game all these years and now wants to cause a fuss. I guess I just see that as a bit of a dick move. The programmer was clearly involved in the community at some point and to a certain level. I just have a hard time seeing this person not wanting people to enjoy his game after all this time. If people were still interested in something I did that long ago I would just be happy that someone still cared. It is just beyond my understanding. Maybe he wants money out of this deal? I could at least understand that, but just not wanting it released it very odd to me and speaks to a alternative motive to me.
  16. I honestly do not buy reproductions or homebrews. I have tried to get some homebrews before but it seems I always miss them some how. I'm just interested in this being made for the hobby. I have done a lot for this hobby that doesn't benefit me, and if adding my voice to those wanting this made available helps I'm down for that.
  17. Really? Clown? Bitchslaping each other? I haven't talked about this with anyone before this moment, and there is still a conversation to be had here. So how about we start over and you don't assume anything about me, and I'll just pretend you didn't say anything.
  18. I now I live in the south, but if I have to hear somone say "dis un right here" one more time today I'll snap.

  19. If a painter paints something, and no longer owns that painting they have no rights to it. So, they create the painting, the store the painting and forget about it, someone else buys the place it is being stored 20 years later and find the painting, and sells it for a huge profit. Ownership was transfered, the painter no longer owns the painting and has no right to get paid for it because it sold. Reproduction paintings are not illegal, counterfeit painting are. There is a legal difference. Also, if there were even legal rights registered for this game they have surely expired. That makes the game public domain. Rights to the work are given when it is programmed, but did they ever register real copy rights for this game? Have they maintained those rights to this day? By your logic the programmer could sue because this game was sold at auction for the total amount of the auction plus damages because their work was released and they didn't want it to be. So, someone find me some copy right information on this game real fast, or its public domain, and free to share however you like.
  20. Who holds the copy right? Who has the legal right to this game? That person should just cash in on the attention this is getting and move on. After all this time with the game doing nothing if someone wants to cause a stink about legal crap in this I say that person is a prick and is only looking for fame. If the person that paid for the cart doesn't want to reproduce that is different. It goes like this, person buys game that hasn't been seen in 20 years, person dumps game and reproduces it, programmer that never sold the game suddenly decides he should get paid for something he didn't bother to get paid for 20 years ago, judge pulls a LMFAO and closes silly case on the spot. This would mean the person that finds one of these one of a kind internal protos has no right to the code. The programmer forever maintains soul ownership of the code forever and can sue for anything done with it? As I said in the other thread about this game, its abandonware at this point. Public domain is something to look into here.
  21. I'll admit I didn't read this entire thread. It went to a dark place and I just soft of flew over that. I do have to wonder however, who could make a claim agaisnt a reproduction of this game? To my knowledge no one has hit the roof about reproductions like this in a legal way before, and after a certain point all things that aren't maintained become public domain. Why would this be any different. Its adandonware at best and that is legal to share. I'm missing something here I just know it.
  22. That is the controller I had when I had this console new. It is much easier for me use, and I should be picking up some of them right now but I'm not because I already have too much stuff I want and no where to put any of it right now .
