Medium Bob's Red Sea Crossing Auction on Ebay.
HatefulGravey replied to MediumBob's topic in Auction Central
i guess we should just be thankful there wasn't a $50,000 BIN on this game. -
Why we hate the N64 controller ;)
HatefulGravey replied to SlowCoder's topic in Classic Console Discussion
My problem with this controller is my hand doesn't fit well on the center grip. So games that use the center stick and Z button (and that seems to be most of them) are very hard for me to play for any length of time. There was a third part controller I had when the system was new that I loved, but I haven't bothered to buy one of those since I started collecting again. The N64 is pretty low on my list of systems to collect for if truth be told. -
Congrats to the winner and I hope GameGavel does well off this as well. I'm not sure if this got any attention yet, and I'm honestly afraid the other one making it to eBay is going to take the spot light because people know more about eBay, but regardless, this can't be a bad thing for GG... unless the sale falls through. I really hope that doesn't happen, this needs to be over now.

Medium Bob's Red Sea Crossing Auction on Ebay.
HatefulGravey replied to MediumBob's topic in Auction Central
Is this how these things always go? This is just silly to me. We are looking at 8k on two auctions and no one is going to get this game for that money? Really? Just what are you expecting from this game? Its rare, I get that, but how much more could you hope to get from it? I thought this was all a bit out of hand, now that I'm seeing 8 grand on the table, and the sellers are turing it down. Just crazy talk. -
Its a space invader for sure, but I've never seen Big Trouble in Little China so I'm missing that reference. I'll have to get to that one soon it would seem.

FS: Arjak's "Oh, sh*t! I overspent this month!" sale!
HatefulGravey replied to Arjak's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
God I suck! I swear I miss 1 or 2 posts in this forum a month and they are always the ones I should have found. I've been hunting that Sweet Home for a month now. My luck sucks! /rant -
BRAND NEW ELEVATOR ACTION FOR SALE
HatefulGravey replied to atari5200dude82's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Didn't I hear that some of these were bad out of the box? I do not mean to crap on this thread, but I swear there was a conversation about this a few years ago when the last one of these came up for sale. -
If You Had $200 to Spend . . .
HatefulGravey replied to boxpressed's topic in Classic Console Discussion
To get away from that, there's always the many, many roms hosted on this site I don't mind roms themselves, but software emulation really bugs me. This site is a great place for Atari roms you are correct there. What if I wanted SNES roms? Then I find myself digging through piles and piles of ads to find the hidden "download now" link. -

HatefulGravey replied to boxpressed's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Emulation websites are always a little janky and it seems to me they always have been. Paying for the bandwidth for other people to download these things of questionable (at best) legallity is something not many really want to get involved in. Thus all the ads and crazyness you see on ROM sites. -
Just who do you support? Love them or hate them they are making some of the best games money can buy. They might have dumbed some things down, and I am with you in wishing they had not, but these are still amazing and complex games. They have also fixed some very big problems since the days that Morrowind was the big game. For example, you wont be killing the boss characters at the end of each story line with a fork. Character balance is much better. Items are much more balanced. Over all the game is just more playable. It would be nice to play Morrowind with it looking like Skyim but that in no way means that Skyrim isn't a great game. I support Bethesda without a problem. the ES games and the Fallout games are all one needs to completely enjoy modern generation gaming.

Any emulator that doesn't just suck out load will let you change the controller set ups these days. I haven't had a problem with an emulator and the 360 controller yet.

Best Way to Remove Marker from a Game Disc?
HatefulGravey replied to thegamezmaster's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Alcohol has gotten the job done for me on discs like this in the past. I would think your chance of harming the disc are very very small. You always have to weigh removing the ink against the chance that you ruin the disc. Sometimes it just isn't worth it. -
If You Had $200 to Spend . . .
HatefulGravey replied to boxpressed's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Thats a really good place to start. The controller for the 7800 is crap but if you know the right people you can get a sweet modded NES pad for not very much and that would go a long long way. -
Ever wanted a game so badly..
HatefulGravey replied to doomwaves's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Gots to have two people that want to play to make that happen. I have friends that game some, but not enough for me to count on someone to get through the game with me. Also, a higher than average number of the people I play with online are MLG and I just get sick of hearing about how great they are and how poorly I play. I can't help that I have a real job and don't get to play games all the time. Trust me, if I could get away with that I would. -

I play the games I that I'm dying to get as soon as I get them. The problem I have is finishing them. Super Mario RPG is the perfect exmaple. I'll get well into that game, put it down for a few days and just forget about it. By the time I remember it I'll have to start over because I have no idea what is going on anymore. I did pick up Portal 2 and have yet to break the seal on that game. I just keep getting drawn to something else. -
Savannah Ga hug? Right down the road. Welcome to AA. Hope your auctions go well and your "money problems" pass quickly.

I assume you took care of that tricky NES10 problem these things have? That has fixed some very interesting problems for me in the past. If you have disabled that chip you are already beyound the most I have had to do to fix one in the past and therefor beyound my help. Good luck, there has to be someone here that can tell you how to fix this.

I worry a lot about people getting these games, getting bored with them and just throwing them away or letting them rot somewhere. I dirve past places all the time and know there are classic games just rotting in there (mostly flea markets). I also have people tell me all the time they just threw an old NES out or something because they didn't know people still cared. It hurts my heart and is more than likely the reason I have so much extra right now. I feel the need to rescue these items from a certain death. Gamestop adding people to this hobby that aren't really into it can only do harm in this way.

Shows how little I know about this handheld. I didn't even know there was a difference in the lighting on these things. You learn something new all the time.

Sorry for the vague title, but I didn't know another way to list this. I found these videos from a tape in the 90s about Street Fighter II combos and tips. Looks like something you could have picked up to help you learn advanced stuff back in the day to show off at the arcade. These videos are 100% 90s and I would love to find more that were made like this. I'll link to the first, all the others are uploaded by the same guy and very easy to find. I haven't had time to watch them all yet, but I must have more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23WW1R7D4MY Take a look, link to more like this if you can.

You sir know an official ton about these things. I had no idea there were so many. Let the search begin.
