I know people have used the Supercharger as a multicart in the past. I haven't bother because I had a Harmony before the Supercharger. I have copied some tapes to MP3 and play my Supercharger games from MP3 instead of dealing with a tape player all the time. From time to time I do use the tape player just for the fun of it, but not very often.

From what I understand Stella is a bit rare. I haven't bothered to look for a copy. I would say that is more than a bit much for the supercharger, not sure about Stella though. I don't think that disc will make the difference in price, but I have been wrong before.

I did check your list, and I did make note of the games there that looked like something I would enjoy. There were a pile of games there I had never heard much about so the list was long indeed. So far I'm finding the game games over and over again and then mega lots of random games that scare the crap out of me. For all I know I would get 170 copies of the same RPG I couldn't play because I don't speak the language. I plan to spend a good part of the day at work today learning more about the current Famicom scene. I would like to get a few Famicom games that I have NES games for the compare or just have both, and some of the crazy Japan only stuff I'm sure is out there too. More as it develops.

FS: Madcatz SFIV TE stick for Xbox 360 $90
HatefulGravey replied to J.Max's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
This is a great deal for someone out there. I have one and I'm tempted to get this one too. Just don't have the extra scratch right now. This stick is simply amazing and works great with MAME on your PC. Do you have the box and all that jazz? -
Things You've Always Wanted You No Longer Want
HatefulGravey replied to Gemintronic's topic in Classic Console Discussion
My 3DO comes to mind. I don't regret buying it, but I wanted that thing since I first heard about it, and I am one of a few that enjoy the games style of games that were made for it. I got one, and I haven't used it at all really. I really wanted it, but I have barely used it. -
Ever get depress while playing video games?
HatefulGravey replied to fdurso224's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Certain games make me remember times when everyone would gather to play games. Online gaming is killing the social aspect of gaming in a way only someone that lived in a different time could understand. We used to have Mortal Kombat parties and everyone from school would stay up all night playing in a big tournament. Sometimes my uncles and I would sit up all night playing Mario Kart 64 and be so into the game that we wouldn't notice the sun coming up. Things like this just don't happen much anymore and I miss that badly. Part of this is just the friends I had then that are still around now are all adults and its harder all the time to find the time to get into this kind of gaming but a lot of it is just the change in gaming culture I think. People that learn that I'm into classic gaming like I am are often in a hurry to talk about the games but I'm shocked at the number that have no desire at all to go back and play them. Depressed, no, but I do miss the good ol' days sometimes. -
Movies for classic gamers
HatefulGravey replied to godzillajoe's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Mortal Kombat has a special place for me too, but more because of the age I was when that movie came out and the way gaming was back then. In its own time that movie was better than it seems now. However, Street Fighter and Double Dragon were just terrible movies. Sure they were based on games, but man they were bad. There are tons of movies and shows based on fighting games that sucked though. Tekken, The Art of Fighting, Samurai Showdown, more than a few Street Fighter series, and only god knows what I'm forgetting here. Fighting games spawned a ton of not so great TV in their time. -
The titles says a lot. I'm thinking about getting into Famicom stuff. I have always had a bit of a fascination with the Famicom but I have never really bothered with it because of all the importing and the questions that go on around that. The more I read about it the more I find that importing isn't a problem really. So it opens this back up to something I might start messing with some time soon. I am hoping those that have already gone down this road might have some good advice for me so I don't fall into any traps in the Famicom world. I know there are a lot of hacks and reproductions out there, so I'll need to learn to stay away from that. How do I know if the prices are right as I find every little information on imported game value out there? Is there a place where I can order the games I want to start or should I just start with one of those ebay lots that is a large number of games and 3 months of shipping? Any advice and links to helpful information would be great.

Movies for classic gamers

I can't believe The Wizard wasn't mention in the first post. A clear must see for the gamer in your life. Also: Tron (another I can't believe hasn't been mentioned yet) The King of Kong Stay Alive (Horror movie about a video game that kills) I'm sure I will think of more as soon as I click post and move away from this thread. -
Gravitar silver label for sale
HatefulGravey replied to Wickeycolumbus's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
You know, if all the characters needed to spell "suck my nuts" were in a single post in the general chat thread there is a good chance it would have been locked and everyone involved in that thread accused of post boosting. Just saying is all. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe its a terrible tragedy. I'm almost interested in buying this game just to own the game that started so much drama over nothing. -

I too am trying hard to figure out just what that means... -
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Ha Ha! That's a great idea, set up a parser that detects naughty words in the character name and sets them up with an impossible challenge. I must be developmentally challenged when it comes to this game; I have never come close to beating it and can't imagine getting through without dying. It's been a while, though, so I should probably try again. I understand your feelings about this game perfectly. The 2nd game kicks my right in the nuts every time. Just getting to the first castle in The Adventures of Link is a nightmare for me.
-
I never have messed with the 2nd quest. Maybe I should do that this weekend. Seems I remember you could name your character Link and start on that quest or something like that. I'm sure if I spend 3 sec searching the web I would find the truth of this but I'm lazy.

Its amazing, there is never enough time in the day or money in my bank account. Always enough bills and shit to do though...

Back to page 1 again. Added some more stuff, still more boxes to go through.

I would love to help you, but your lack of formatting is killing me. Please list these or at least put something in between the titles to show that this isn't just one game with a very odd name.

Anyone that has Nintendo Power mags from the NES or SNES years to sell or trade should PM me, just saying.
-
I saw that actually, but I am kind of looking to get a lot with those in it I guess. I like to buy more then one at the time, I just normally dont' get that option very often.
-
Get them all. That is all you need to know about them. The arcade is the place to be with these. If you have MAME running on a computer somewhere you have all you need to play these until you die. I would put a list here, but it would be very very long. A good arcade stick (I recommend the Street Fighter 4 TE stick because it is great) and MAME is all you need. Then just explore.

Just bought an original gameboy
HatefulGravey replied to Atari Hacker's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I picked up a CIB BrickBoy at a local auction recently. I have no idea what they are worth CIB, but it looks very very nice on the shelf with the other consoles. I hadn't seen one before, and that was all I knew of it, and really all I know of it now. Next a CIB Game Gear.... -
I sold Gonzo some games and everything was smooth as butter. I could not ask for a better transaction. Fast payment and great communication. Highly recommended!
