I find myself in need of a few things. If you have an item you would like to sell please PM with a price and we can work something out I'm sure. Atari 7800 game pads (2). I guess I would want the NES modded deals over anything else, but anything better then the normal stick that came with it would be great. Boxed Atari games. 2600/5200/7800 doesn't matter. I'm looking for boxed Activision more then anything else, and Pittfall and Kaboom are on the top of that list. I have only a few of these so chances are if you have boxed games you would like to sell I don't have it. NES controllers (2), the standard model. NES Contra. I can't explain why I don't have this game, but I might as well post the request here. I will change this as need be, and would like to buy as much of this from one person as possible but I'm more then willing to buy this in pieces too. Thank you for your time.

djpudda sold me something like 20 games. They came fast and well packed, everything is great. You can trust this member for sure.

Actually what I'm reading now says they don't work perfectly. Read this! That is all over my head a bit, but it seems to suggest it doesn't work right by itself. I'm going to be looking into buying a few NES pads to mod, or some pre-modded pads in our market place soon I guess. For now I should go to bed.

I have an Atari 7800 though I rarely use it. I think to use a 2600 for 2600 games and the 7800 is unplayable to me. The controller is the problem, and I know good and well I'm not the only person hating that thing. I have seen videos on youtube that claim the Genesis controller works with it, but all mine work fine with everything but the 7800. They act like the buttons (could be one but I think its both) are always pressed and it has this turbo effect that makes it unusable for some games and no fun for the rest. I know there are control pads made for the 7800 but I haven't really looked into the much that is the next step but I would like another option in case those are too hard to find or too much money to spend right now. I also know I have seen NES controllers modded to work for the 7800 but I haven't seen too much information. I haven't done too much research yet so some of this might be a little off but I thought I would ask people that know and maybe save myself some more "your Genesis controllers will work" style aggravation.

I'll take the ludicrous unlocking system over characters that are DLC any day. If I could click the rep button about 100 more times I would. I have been screaming this for a while now. Just wait for the coming Super Marvel vs Capcom 3 disc to come out. We all know its coming, and it might just have all the DLC on the disc. Then we can perserve the game for the future with all it's add ons.

That. I swear the sound is much better on this version then the NES version as well. Also, the SMS holds my favorite vertical space shooter ever, Astro Warrior. Good stuff and a must have as far as I'm concerned.

I paid $125ish for the system, all hook ups, Turbo Booster Plus (I don't really know what the differnce in the Turbo Booster and Turbo Booster Plus is) and like 5 or 6 games. I actually haven't gotten anything more for it then I got that day, but then again I have only had the system for like 4 months. I really want to get more, but there is never anything for it in the market.

Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition!
HatefulGravey replied to moycon's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Do tell. What parts do you use? Like actual arcade parts? Real arcade parts are very usable in most of these sticks. The buttons are VERY easy to replace with just about any arcade button set up you want. You have to know what size stick to get as the mounts can be different, but once you have that is a matter of unscrewing the old, installing the new and moving on. Easy as pie. As far as where to get parts, pick your favorite place. I get HappControls stuff as often as possible, but if you want something special you have to find it else where. I love Sanwa, but good luck finding it anymore. -
Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition!

Not good news. I spent like $70 for a Hori arcade stick that everyone said was great and I thought pretty much sucked. At least for the classic games it sucked. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V02P6Q?ie=UTF8&tag=atariage&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000V02P6Q Why is it so hard to make a decent arcade stick? Sorry for the double post, but we posted at the same time and I need to respond to this. A good stick isn't too hard to come across. They just aren't cheap. I have the Street Fighter 4 Tournament Editionstick. Its GREAT, but it is also $150. Its Sanwa parts though, and that makes a difference to be sure. You are going to have a hard time playing most classic games with an 8 way stick. Build your own 4 way box, it really isn't too hard and can be done affordablly. The part that cost would be making it look good with customer graphics and all that. I wouldn't mind getting another stick myself to be honest. I might try one of the upgraded models of the one you have. -

Mine is already paid for. As soon as I heard about it I went and paid for it at the local GameStop. Even if the controls aren't perfect replacing them is cheap and easy for the most part. The box is what is hard to make if you want a customer set up and I think that thing looks too good not to have. All that said I'm a big Mortal Kombat fan from the first 3 games, so a return to 2D fighting for that series makes me super happy. I'll spend what I have to spend to show them its worth making 2D fighters. -
I want an MVS cab, but arcade hardware doesn't often come up in my area for sale. I have to travel atleast 4 hours for arcade games, and its hard to get everything together and get to a new cabby in enough time to be the first to get to a good deal 4 hours away. I'll get one sooner or later. My problem with importing really is the time it can take to get the item, or the cost of shipping in general can be crazy high, and there is always the chance that they hit you with import duties.
-
Stupid importing. Its the reason I don't own an AES yet. Its also the reason I don't have all the good games for the Saturn yet. @Algus There was a TurboDuo at my local game store, but the manager got it before any customer had the chance to know it was there. See my post about my local game store starting to suck. I'll just have to be happy getting what I can for the systems I can and I'll dig for the strange things when I've got the time and money for it.

Man you are killing me with that Intellivision deal. I'm also watering at the mouth for those boxed Atari games. -
Marvel vs Capcom 3 anyone?

That's my thinking, too. Especially for the rarities. So the problem with the style my buddy talked about is that all of our customers would be people that are interested in classic games. If you are interested it doesn't take much to get a pile of common games, so the games they would want to play are rare. Who is to say they ever return it? Interesting idea I would take advantage of as one on side, but wouldn't set up. Good luck and let us know how it goes. It could be a huge hit. -
I have been looking on and off for a CD for mine. They are hard to find in working order. I have no problem buying another TG16 just for the CD part as I can have two or gift one. There is normally a lot of money involved in the CD too, and probably more then I would want to spend on it to be honest. You should sell me yours for $1.

Well, is anyone misses out there will be 2 more copies on eBay after a while. BUSTED!
-
Hey Albert - Halo on eBay going for over $100 Time to list more?
HatefulGravey replied to the.golden.ax's topic in Atari 2600
$170! Thats craziness! I'll wait for the next production run. If your making a list please check twice to make sure I'm on it. -
I don't have, nor have I even seen, a multi-tap for the TG16. I knew they were out there, but I never looked for them. Something about the one controller port is actually kind of appealing to me. Not many people I know want to play a system they have never heard of before with someone, everyone wants to play for a while solo so the single port doesn't bother me. Also, it stands out. You don't normally see one controller port on a system. The controller for this system is really cool to me too. It feels different to me then anything else and I don't really know why. I do know the buttons are softer or something. Just cool.

Video Games in Public Libraries
HatefulGravey replied to toptenmaterial's topic in Classic Console Discussion
A buddy of mine had the idea to do a gamefly like thing with older games, and the problem there and here is the same. IF someone takes a game and runs you could find yourself out of an item you can't hope to replace. If we are to share out collections and passion with the world it should be in a show case people come to, not something they take home. -
Oh I hope I manage to get one this time! Any idea when they will be ready? Not to rush you at all, but to make sure I know to order one when they are still around this time. Worth waiting for, but I still can't wait.

whats your biggest gripe with modern games?
HatefulGravey replied to xg4bx's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Has anyone mentioned unlockable extras have gone away? Instead of beating a game to unlock a new mode or character models and stuff, now you buy all your extras. There are only a few games doing this right now, but they are getting more common all the time. -
Punisher Abel (from SFIV) I would also really love to have the old controls back. When I got home last night this game was waiting on me. Its ok, but the controls make me a crazy person so far. I'm learing it though. What really ticks me off the most is this game was clearly designed for a controller, and I spent the $150 to get a Tournament Edition Fight Stick with Street Fighter IV. You can play the game with it without major trouble, but it shows that it wasn't really designed to play with it. So yeah, if someone wants to smash my face on xBox my gamer tag is the same as my screen name.

Yay Turbo Grafx! I love that system so good. I only have a few games for it but man they are great times. I don't have this Bonks Adventure yet, but I shall. I need to hunt more games for it out. I also really want Splatter House for it. Welcome to the owners club, its great times on a credit card for everyone. EDIT: Oh, and I can't believe no one has said this yet, but get a Turbo Booster if you can. Mine came with a Turbo Booster Plus on it and its nice to have the AV outs without modding anything.
