  1. Game-Gripper.com Go there, see if they have a mold for your phone, get one. I borrowed one from a friend that found them by chance, I have now ordered a few for friends and family. These things are a must have for emulation gaming on Android phones man. There is even seems to be a blue tooth model for phones that don't have key boards on the way. If that isn't too pricy it could be a good time for all! I can't help but support this guy. These kinds of things are all to rare in the world anymore and this is just too cool not to have. I have been playing Halo 2600 all day with mine.
  2. Game play is why I collect, history is what I talk about when people ask about the collection. If I find a rare game that is also cheap I'll buy it, but I'm not running off to buy rare games because they are rare. I do understand people that will buy them because they are rare though. There is something about being able to say "I own 1 of the 25 or 30 of this item that are known to exist". Many of the rare games in Atari land have more copies then that out there, but the point stands for it's self. The thing I am hooked on is boxes. The Atari 2600 is older then I am, atleast older then I could have enjoyed. I would have been an infant during the last part of its run. Having the boxes for even the most common games makes me happy because I can see what games looked like before I was born. There is also a certain rarity appeal to that though. Who keeps boxes? It couldn't have been many because I own many many Atari games, and maybe 20 in box.
  3. More Halo would be great. I missed the boat last time and have kicked myself for it every day.
  4. I can't even remember what errors I was getting. I know I tried 3 different emulators, none of them would work properly and people are pretty tight lip about emulating the Dreamcast around the internets for some reason. I'll get back at it soon and post more when I know what problems I'm having. I just wanted to find out if there were people here that could and would help me when these things come up again. Thanks for the replies, more as it develops.
  5. This site isn't half bad. I found most of what I was looking for and had a good time just looking through old things long forgotten. I wish I had more manuals to contribute, as it stands that have all I could scan in for them.
  6. As you should, and this is a very big reason for me not bothering with a limited edition as well as likely waiting on it for it to drop in price. Whats going to end up happening is there will be a special release in 6 months with all the DLC on the disc. Atleast I hope its on the disc. Recently they have gone to just putting codes to download the DLC in these special releases leaving no hope for true preservation of these games in the future. I don't mind DLC for new looks or back grounds or things that don't matter. The idea of having to buy the extra characters makes me an unhappy person.
  7. NO! BAD DOG! Why does this sound like a good idea? Mario vs Ryu on the cover? Really? That is terrible. I just can't see Nintendo characters in a real fighting game. Sure, there is Smash Brothers, but that is really a childish beat em' up game more then a figher. I can't see this becoming anything more then a rumor for Nintendo fan boys to freak out over.
  8. I found out about the Balls of Steel edition and the tournamant edition for Mortal Kombat (with the fight stick) last night at the launch party for MvC3 so I'm reserving both at the local GameStop tonight on the way home. I can't freaking wait. These are two great special editions I have to have.
  9. I was going to get it. I was at a launch party last night with a few bands, a big tournament, and the game set up all over the place to play while waiting for the launch. I enjoyed the game, then I learned of characters being DLC! WHAT? I had heard this before but I guess it wasn't real to me until I was there playing the game. This is a bad bad bad idea for gamers. I buy the game for $60, and if I want to play with the full character list I have to pay MORE to get them? BAD IDEA FOR GAMERS! Not to mention these fighting games tend to be played for years and years past the point of release. In 10 years people will more then likely still be playing this game, and if they are playing on a machine that doesn't have these new characters downloaded they could be screwed. One more point to be made here. The game launched last night, there are already DLC characters! BAD IDEA FOR GAMERS! This means they had them ready, and instead of making them part of the game from the start they decided to charge more for them. BAD IDEA FOR GAMERS! I might end up getting this game soon anyway, but at this point I'm thinking long and hard about voting with my wallet.
  10. That! I would love to have a copy myself.
  11. I know we have most if not all of the Atari instructions here, but where could I find scans and such of instructions for games for other systems. NES, SNES, Genesis... Anyone know of good places to get these?
  12. Id love to have it, bad timing is all. You'll get a buyer soon enough.
  13. I love RC Pro AM, but its a classic and everyone should love that game. I also really enjoyed Combat Cars on the Genesis, a game which I've seen one comment here about and I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned before anywhere ever. Seems like no one knows the greatness that is Combat Cars. This kind of game just requires alot of memory on your part to remember what turn is coming.
  14. I've looked at them too long, now I must have them, PM sent.
  15. That just isn't fair. That is to say you have my envy in a way I didn't know I could envy a person. Not only do you have a pile of boxed fun stuffs in there, you have such a nice place to put them. When I grow up I want to be Ax. Crap, now I have to go buy more boxed 2600 games...
  16. Did you really just say that? I mean really! Did you just say that? The 3DO version isn't bad.. Not sure if the same can be said for the 16-bit versions though. I was speaking more to the idea of recommending Ballz to a stranger. More then that, saying that the stranger would like Ballz. I'm not sure how I would take it if someone recommended that I try Ballz, and then went further and said that I may like Ballz. I wonder what I am to do with said Ballz. I could play with said Ballz, but I could also just look at Ballz on a shelf. Maybe I could lone out my Ballz. A have a friend or two that might want to play with my Ballz... Getting it yet? And I never said I was a grown up yet, just an adult by age.
  17. Did you really just say that? I mean really! Did you just say that?
  18. REALLY? I have to buy that, I mean if I spend that kind of money on it then it must mean its worth that right? You guys are looking at this all wrong. This is an investment opportunity. What are people thinking? I hate it when people assume something must be worth a crap ton of money because its old. The local "junk store" recently jacked all the prices on "older games" up to $10 a game. Adventure for $10? I even tried to talk reason with this woman that runs the place and she just said "other people don't even argue about the price" and left it at that.
  19. I purchased a Sears Heavy Sixer from 99'er and it came fast, and well packed. The price was great and the item arrived better then I expected. This is a member you can trust for sure.
  20. I was going to buy a 4 cart MVS off Craigslist a while back and couldn't get the time to get to it. It was about 4 hours one way to get to where it was. I really want to find another one. There are many good NEO GEO games for the MVS and I have seen some pretty good prices on them recently as well. Gonna have to hit that up. I should have just kept what I had, but that was then...
  21. I never got Street Fighter II at all really. I missed that boat on it new so I don't have anything to remember to make the game look better I guess. The game is slow to me, the graphics also look really bleached to me. I like playing many of the Street Fighter games since then. The Street Fighter Alpha series is pretty cool, Street Fighter 3, and Street Fighter 4 were cool. But Street Fighter II I can't see the hype for.
  22. I'm coming off a speed collecting bing. The market place here is bad for me. I sit at work and when we are slow I look around AA, and sooner or later I find my way to the market place and there is always a good deal on something I really want. The trick is telling myself I shouldn't buy it for the next 10 hours so I don't get bored at work and buy it anyway. For example, there are 8 boxed Atari 2600 games in the market place now for less then $35 shipped that I have been looking at for a while now. I had to talk myself out of spending the money again today, and I will tomorrow. The thing that traps me is the cool factor. New stuff is just too cool.
  23. I grew up a Mortal Kombat fan, and I still love the 2D Mortal Kombat games. I never cared for Street Fighter at all untill maybe 2 years ago when I got my first arcade stick. That changed everything. The moves in Street Fighter are just better suited for a real arcade stick where the Mortal Kombat moves were normally simple enough not to suffer much from a D-pad. I can't stand any of the 3D fighters. There isn't one of them I really like at all. Just not my thing I guess. So when Street Fighter 4 came out I was a happy person (I still don't have Super Street Fighter 4) and then the release of MvC2 on XBLA was nice as well. Now we are looking at a new MvC game and another 2D Mortal Kombat game this year and I can't freaking wait. I have never been really good at these games in multiplayer, but I can't stop loving them no matter how bad I get smashed. Just a good time and a nice throw back to childhood fun.
  24. Buying Atari games no longer helps Atari. It helps the person you got it from. Atari is making nothing off the sell of their games anymore. So why should selling a pirated version of that game matter to them? The people it should matter to own classic gaming stores and half of those sell this kind of thing anymore too and the other half try to sell their games for such high prices that people are willing to go this way to get to play them. Not a problem. The people that just want to play the game can get the pirate versions and the people that want to collect the real thing can. The only problem would be a single game reproduction that is advertised as real. This is known to happen in the Atari 2600 world for sure, and I'm sure it happens in all the others as well.
  25. I finished the game with 1 person left alive. Stupid zombies just randomly biting people. 1283 points by the time it was all said and done.
