  1. My guess is that it has some extra value as a variant -- but not the 3x to 5x the person thought it did. Game boxes are special to some people. Console variations not as much.
  2. Thanks for the update. We now know the Martians did not get to you. 8*>
  3. Thanks for the update. We now know you have not been abducted by aliens for giving away their rocket secrets.
  4. You forgot Electric Company Math Fun. http://www.intvfunhouse.com/games/math.php
  5. Speaking of ROM variants, does anyone have (did anyone rescue) the info from the old "decle" site (www.decle.co.uk)?
  6. I need to get a system. I have some things on VGCollect. Others, all I have is an old dog-eared "JerryG" guide. Storage is in boxes, tubs, and furniture.
  7. Digiplay Astrosmash which used the timed version of the game: http://www.digitpress.com/eastereggs/intvastrosmash.htm I also have those sticklers and sticks -- as well as the Wico Command Center Joysticks. http://home.earthlink.net/~classic-videogames/intellivision/hardware.htm (I should have picked up the Videoplexer the store had back in the day -- but I was waiting for it to drop from $25 to $20).
  8. I wish they would release these for WiiU. I don't the BSRs will ever talk to Nintendo after the red tape issues to get the DS Intellivision Lives released. But The Big N has become very Indie friendly.
  9. Certainly, once a company has made an effort to legally acquire the rights to "something" (here an IP) and it has not been successful, it is going to be in a lot of trouble if it uses that "something." However, if one feels like getting the rights are going to be a problem, a "clone" could be the way to go. Remember Space Armada? The code that was used to create Ms. PacMan could be used in another original game as well.
  10. Good first theory. Second theory may have had to do with the crash of the market more than anything else.
  11. That was my point. I wonder if any of these classic arcade recreations have a license. Just on the Atari Age 7800 page are the following: Asteroids Deluxe, Jr Pac Man, Moon Cresta,, Pac Man Collection, Rip Off, Scramble, Space Dual, Space Invaders are direct ports. BnQ, Beef Drop, Crazy Brix are clones of games (Q*Bert, Burger Time, Breakout). And Meteor Shower is the same name as a built-in game from the Telegames Colecovision clone (whether it is the same game or not, I do not know). Some of these games have been up there for years. And others have been available from other sellers at different times. My guess is the lot size is too small anyone to seek out. But if something is brought to their attention, then a C&D letter may ensue. That all being said, I just want good games -- be they arcade remakes or new creations.
  12. One thing that strikes me is how many "remakes" get released on various consoles. I wonder if asking for permission for a hobby batch run is really something that anybody does.
  13. I have never gotten one of those Coleco games to work on the Intellivision II. Not sure why they were labeled as such.
  14. I liked Mission X ... but I always thought the plane looked strange when it changed altitude.
  15. According to Jay Tilton, 15 years ago, "[t]hat 16.7V jazz is utter horse.... I can't believe people go to such extreme measures to find a substitute power supply for these things. It's actual power requirements are about as generic as they get. From DeathSkull Laboratories: http://arcarc.xmissi...tech/power.html
  16. I guess my point is that the company really seems to be Intelli-Vision (which is its website URL). Ironically, it has this "© 2013 Intellivision.com" down the bottom of the home page, pointing to www.intelli-vision.com
  17. I would at least see how much money Cmart is willing to offer before turning him down. He might be able to fully fund the next game release with his one custom cart (with box and instructions of course).
  18. That company has an upper case V in its name, so there is some distinction. Trademarks are funny creatures. If they cause confusion, there can be legal trouble. Doubtful that would be the case here. Also. Interestingly, the URL Intellivision.com appears to be available. Only a page holder appears when you try to go there.
  19. http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/games/credits/intv3.shtml#superpro_basketball This unique reward cart reminds me of what was done for this group of basketball fans back in the day.
  20. I once thought I had a trade for this box variant. One of only a few times that I have been taken on an Internet deal. Served me right for dealing with someone whom I had just "met" on-line that evening. (Of course, I know people who had great reps who vanished after collecting the money and failing to send out most of the games back in the Usenet days).
  21. I never saw Fathom in stores back-in-the-day. I had so someone give it to me complete (single overlay). I sold off the box since I don't collect them. Tropical Trouble and While Water were in stores, then disappeared.
  22. http://www.pong-picture-page.de/download/Champion2711.pdf?osCsid=54a1c78d4 This is a working URL to the original (2010) FAQ.
  23. It was 1984 or so when this system was discussed. Right around the time of the crash.
  24. Can't wait to hear more details on this project! It looks exciting. Luckily, I still have my IC and CC3.
