As we are now only about nine months away from the launch of the Amico, I am beginning to wonder if there will continue to be demand for new games for the original console.
The Amico Founders Edition sold out in six hours. Deposits of $100 were put down for 2600 units. That shows people recognize the brand and there is demand. But does it translate into demand for new games for the original console. A few years ago, game runs of 150 to 200 sold out in days, if not hours. Today, high-end products take weeks to reach triple digits (100) in sales. And the number of Amico sold is between four and five times the number of sales for the most popular device to play game ROMs (the LTO Flash has reportedly sold 500-600 copies, if comments on the forums are correct).
Personally, I like new games for my 2609, my SVA, my 5872, my SPS, etc. Currently, Maria from Cote Gamers is en route from France while Aardvark, Fubar, and Melody Runner from Intellivision Revolution are awaiting mailing (they seem to have been stuck in pre-shipment for a while). So I will continue to buy.
But I also know that with games for the Amico costing a fraction of the price of those for the original unit, it will be increasingly difficult to justify paying the same price for a game for a four-decade hardware platform as the newest game for the newest console units.
What thoughts do others have? I know there are some big releases planned for this year. But I wonder if it is the beginning of the end and people transition to the Amico or if the Amico leads to more interest in the original platform and a Renaissance in game development.
What does everyone else think?

Speaking of tracking, does anyone have any good suggestions on what to use?
(I am using 17Track but I wasn’t sure if there was a better resource).

Mine did not go out until Thursday because there was a question about my address.
The tracking shows it has already left France. So I would hope to see it by midweek. -

Did you get an email that said it was shipped? If so, email and ask. They have been very good about replaying.
if not, hang tight. It should ship soon.

It can be confusing since you can use two different cities in my address (the one in which I live or the larger city which has the post office).
Address issue worked out. My game scheduled to ship tomorrow.
Looking forward to playing the game.

I got an update that my order was being processed.
So I figure I will get my tracking information soon as well.

Well, I ordered three months ago and got an email acknowledgment. So I should be set.
Ordered with tracking and paid in Euros (via PayPal). So I should be good.I am guessing the statement on my order just means it is waiting for tracking information.
-
Will we get the tracking information when it is shipped?
And what does "Waiting for Braintree validation" mean?

Does anyone have contact information on the person who made the carts?

I know I am only 3-1/2 years late to this.
But it never hurts to ask if there are any of these out there, still available.
Thanks

Any idea when the PRGE games -- and catalog -- will go live (for sale) at the Intellivision Revolution site?

As a result, the lineup matters less, because you can make it your own. The physical design was like the other Atari Flashbacks, with the big yellow buttons, but the controls are on point and the emulation was pretty good. It's at that bottom-out price right now if you want to snap that one up.
This new one is supposed to run Stella for emulation, it has the cute case, but you can't add new games to it.
I will have to check to see if my 9 Gold has the SD card slot as well.

How does this compare to the lineup the last couple of years? Anything new on the Atari Flashback X?
Usually I pick these up when they bottom out at around $30.

Is there a deadline for boarding this train? I am thinking about boarding it.
And how much is a ticket?
(In other words, when do you need to know and how much does it cost?)

2PMs sent. Because I am stupid and didnt ask for a GoatNom ROM to be included (with additional payment) in my order in the first message. Somehow I thought the ROM would not email.OK, we FINALLY have a bunch of copies assembled and ready to ship. Had to buy a house in the interim, so ya know, life and all that.
I've started sending invoices to those who've given me their email addresses. This will still take time to plow through orders (see: aforementioned house purchase) so I hope everyone can bear with me as I slowly get these shipped. A few people have paid, and those are going out hopefully tomorrow.
It's super exciting cramming all the feelies into boxes, I must say

Please add me to the list for the diagnostic cart. Any number is fine - between 11 and 125 that is.
If 111 is available, that would be great.
Thanks

My tracking information came on Christmas Eve as well.
Now I can't wait to see updated information on the items in transit.
(Of course it could be worse. I ordered a Running Man Beanie for Christmas on the 17th. It didn't ship til the 20th via DHL from Charlotte, NC. And for some reason, it appears stuck in Ohio -- which is strange since I live in West Virginia).

As I said on Dec 18, I had just mailed the last bunch, I believe there were 20, I had just received the missing box of upmonsters that morning.
Its up to Canada Post and USPS now.
Not worried at all. It usually takes a couple of weeks for stuff to make its way south.
It is so funny how tracking and Amazon has made us all so impatient people.
Happy Holidays!

I hope to see the Tracking information soon. My guess is sometime tomorrow.
I ordered like the first hour after I received the announcement about the trio of games.
-
Guessing since I was a latter order that this mail-out included mine. Can't wait to get them. Sounds like they are really well done.
Last orders just mailed, I have 2 sets of each left and 2 just boxes of each, $20 each plus postage for the sets, $15 plus postage for just a box.
Get them now before they're gone forever.
Thanks to all who bought these.

Mine shows "Your parcel is transiting through our network to be delivered to you as quickly as possible" on both LaPoste and 17Track. From the information on 17Track, it sounds like this means it is awaiting customs clearance.
That makes sense as the latest message was posted Friday (31 Jan from LaPoste) or early Saturday (1 Feb from 17Track), depending on the time used by the tracking service.
Hopefully it will move today.
