    Hello everybody.

    Great !

To track your parcel, you can use  this link : https://www.laposte.fr/outils/track-a-parcel

You can choose to show it in english but "la poste" is not very intelligent as she only translate a few informations.

But all you need is to check the five points on the top, we show you the translation :

1=your parcel is in preparation (la poste can have it but it's not registered yet)

2=your parcel is in your country

3=your parcel is in your town

4=your parcel is in transit to your home

5=your parcel is in your hands 😁

The information below, shon in "see all steps" are interesting but not very important.

Mine shows "Your parcel is transiting through our network to be delivered to you as quickly as possible" on both LaPoste and 17Track. From the information on 17Track, it sounds like this means it is awaiting customs clearance.

That makes sense as the latest message was posted Friday (31 Jan from LaPoste) or early Saturday (1 Feb from 17Track), depending on the time used by the tracking service.

    Hopefully it will move today.

  2. As we are now only about nine months away from the launch of the Amico, I am beginning to wonder if there will continue to be demand for new games for the original console.

The Amico Founders Edition sold out in six hours. Deposits of $100 were put down for 2600 units. That shows people recognize the brand and there is demand. But does it translate into demand for new games for the original console. A few years ago, game runs of 150 to 200 sold out in days, if not hours.  Today, high-end products take weeks to reach triple digits (100) in sales. And the number of Amico sold is between four and five times the number of sales for the most popular device to play game ROMs (the LTO Flash has reportedly sold 500-600 copies, if comments on the forums are correct).

Personally, I like new games for my 2609, my SVA, my 5872, my SPS, etc.  Currently, Maria from Cote Gamers is en route from France while Aardvark, Fubar, and Melody Runner from Intellivision Revolution are awaiting mailing (they seem to have been stuck in pre-shipment for a while).  So I will continue to buy.

But I also know that with games for the Amico costing a fraction of the price of those for the original unit, it will be increasingly difficult to justify paying the same price for a game for a four-decade hardware platform as the newest game for the newest console units.

What thoughts do others have?  I know there are some big releases planned for this year. But I wonder if it is the beginning of the end and people transition to the Amico or if the Amico leads to more interest in the original platform and a Renaissance in game development.

    What does everyone else think?

Last year's model (Atari Flashback 9) had an SDcard slot, so you could add in your own games, the only one that has that feature. As a result, the lineup matters less, because you can make it your own. The physical design was like the other Atari Flashbacks, with the big yellow buttons, but the controls are on point and the emulation was pretty good. It's at that bottom-out price right now if you want to snap that one up.

This new one is supposed to run Stella for emulation, it has the cute case, but you can't add new games to it.

I will have to check to see if my 9 Gold has the SD card slot as well.

  4. OK, we FINALLY have a bunch of copies assembled and ready to ship. Had to buy a house in the interim, so ya know, life and all that.

I've started sending invoices to those who've given me their email addresses. This will still take time to plow through orders (see: aforementioned house purchase) so I hope everyone can bear with me as I slowly get these shipped. A few people have paid, and those are going out hopefully tomorrow.

It's super exciting cramming all the feelies into boxes, I must say :D

2PMs sent. Because I am stupid and didnt ask for a GoatNom ROM to be included (with additional payment) in my order in the first message. Somehow I thought the ROM would not email.

  5. My tracking information came on Christmas Eve as well.

Now I can't wait to see updated information on the items in transit.

(Of course it could be worse. I ordered a Running Man Beanie for Christmas on the 17th. It didn't ship til the 20th via DHL from Charlotte, NC. And for some reason, it appears stuck in Ohio -- which is strange since I live in West Virginia).
