  1. I'm sorry, but Albert told me on July 4th he would put in the store "in the next few days". Please send him a PM, maybe that helps...
  2. Well, I have a "leveleditor" that does just what you proposed. It's just a small LISP program - but I won't embarrass myself and release it. I rather write a shiny new one, so that anyone -especially non-programmers- can contribute. That shouldn't be too much work. As I said, I just would compile new levels from the "community" - kind of like an extended version. There would be *no* new features like bosses or moving platforms or what have you; because I don't have enough time (at least not in the near future) to implement them.
  3. Well, if you guys are willing to help me... I'm thinking about releasing a decent leveleditor, then everybody could design levels and I would just compile them. Big levels like level 3 need aprox. 160 Bytes, so a 32k ROM could easily have 150 big levels...
  4. Thank you - assuming you're referring to the game The ROM images are 4K each (PAL as well as NTSC). Feel free to download them here: http://lov3machine.com/blinky/ A modul version will be released in the next day.
  5. Wow, that is impressive! I must have played Blinky a million times during development, but I'm not even close to your speed... I hereby grant you the title "Fastes Blinky Player Of The Universe"
  6. Good things come to those who wait! Yesterday I got a message from Albert I plan on adding Blinky Goes Up and Armor Attack II (for the 7800) to the store in a few days...
  7. There was no label contest, I wanted to do all the artwork by myself. If you like you can get another peek of the box at Blinky's website: http://lov3machine.com/blinky "Blinky goes up" is a platform game with Mario-like physics. See here for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygvg2SiIvXk You can download the ROM images for free on Blinky's website (see link above).
  8. I think mnemonic is the proper term, although everybody uses opcode because it's easier to pronounce
  9. Hello, I would like to produce a little booklet with 12 pages. I've done the artwork, but I have no idea how to properly layout this thing. Can anybody provide me a template file for a "classic" Atari2600 manual? I work with CorelDraw but Photoshop or any other format would also be fine... Thanks, Jan
  10. Thank you! a) I'm thinking about that - I have a ton of ideas for an expanded version, but I'm not sure if this will be my next project. Maybe I'll do something on the Commodore Plus4 or the Commodore 64... b) Yes, Albert is currently working on that. If you like you can send me an email to blinky at gmx dot info, so I can inform you, when the cartridge version is available.
  11. I'm very proud to announce that BLINKY won the 4K Minigame Compo 2012 http://minigamecompo.weebly.com/results.html Thank you so much guys!!!
  12. Hello everybody, please help Blinky win the 4K Minigame-Compo 2012. Vote here: http://minigamecompo.weebly.com/voting-forms-2012.html Thank you very much! Jan
  13. Thank you John! I really appreciate your feedback!
  14. Ok, I found some issues and fixed them... Scanline count should now be rocksolid at 262 (resp.312) during gameplay *and* between stages! The ROM images are available on the website: http://www.lov3machine.com/blinky/index.html Please let me know, if there are still problems... Thanks and have fun!
  15. So embarrassed! You guys were absolutely right about the screen rolls during gameplay... @RevEng the 264 scanline trick is a very nice hack! But I decided to fix the real problem - that's a question of honor I'll let you know, when the problem is fixed... Thank you!
  16. Hi guys, I know about the rolls. After you finish a level there will be 2 bad frames. The first one just before the "NEXT LEVEL" screen is shown; the second one when the "NEXT LEVEL" screen disappeared (just before the new level starts). The reason is an optimization hack, because I ran out of ROM space - e.g. the PAL version has only 14 free bytes of ROM left (sadly not even in a single chunk). Damn, I thought nobody would recognize this BTW, during gameplay the framerate is always stable. So I don't consider this a serious bug, or should I?
  17. Blinky Goes Up is a platform game for the ATARI 2600 video computer system, featuring six vertically smooth scrolling levels and superbly animated characters. 18. There is no link! Just send an email to blinky at gmx dot info, so I can inform you, when the cartridge version is available.
  19. Register yourself at blinky at gmx dot info if you haven't already. I'll let you know when the cartridge version is available. Until then don't worry about giving me any money
  20. Well, I got your email. I guess that was just a temporary problem.
  21. Of course this is possible. In fact I do have a level editor. The thing is, that it's just a developer tool - it was a quick hack intended to be used just by myself and therefore is not very userfriendly. But as a said earlier in this thread, I plan to release the source code to the public domain after the cartridge release. So maybe someone else is interested in doing a leveleditor then...
  22. A video of a prefect game on real hardware would be awesome!
  23. No, it's not - never heard of "Man Goes Down" before. But looks like a nice little game...
