  1. Which format options did you use to create the ATR?
  2. Here's a small update if you have already used the installer. Just extract to the install folder... This fixes the file viewer for XP and newer. Jay AtrTools.zip
  3. This is a Work-In-Progress program that runs on Windows. It allows you to do many things with ATR, XFD and PRO images... http://www.fiftyonefiftysystems.com/Atari/AtrTools.html Download and let me know what you think so far Jay
  4. What I liked about it was the option to load the different games and Assembler Editor, but would prefer to have an option that allowed me to go straight into SDX instead... Jay
  5. One problem I see is that you can do a Screen Grab on a PC running that emulator or visiting that webpage and then save it...
  6. I could use 1 or 2 of these... Sebastian's version that is
  7. Anyone have the Flash ROM to flash the SIDE back to original? I flashed it with the MyBios - Side update, but don't like that menu... Or the individual ROM images to make the 512k.rom... Thanks, Jay
  8. From me to you and yours, I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Better New Year Warm Regards, Jay
  9. Yep, I agree... If I can find the schematic of the prototype, I could use that as a starting point to make an interface that works @Rybags Looking further into the handler code last night, I found a few calls to the D1xx area. Time to read up on the PBI docs...
  10. Just got done installing the Ultimate1MB in a 800xl and it works very nicely I ended up mounting the resistors to the mobo as an upgrade in itself, just in case of any other future upgrades that would benefit from the added protection... Next, to see if one of the used 130xe's has anything socketed for the other one... Jay
  11. I received mine in 10 days, south-west coast, TJ boarder... Jay
  12. Well, the handler ROM/Eprom does have a HATABS handler for the V: and T: devices and maps to the $D6xx area for the PBI, so I'll be able to exclude that part of the code and the rest should be for the floppy board interface... One thing I'd like to do is change the Device ID of the floppy handler from Zero(0) to something else so I can also use the IDE Plus 2 on this I'll look for a page $D1 reference in the code... Jay
  13. Wouldn't it be easier to do that by software or an external voice synthesizer on a 600XL in stead of using a massive 1450XLD? Actually, I like the bigger footprint of the 800, 1200XL and my 1450XL... They look more professional I do have atleast two of most A8's (400, 800, 600xl, 800xl, 1200xl, 130xe & XEGS that are stock or w/mods), so I can play them all if I like... True, you could use SAM or a VoiceBox by Alien Group for speech apps, but why not take advantage of what's there built-in? Jay
  14. Several people mentioned this. I wonder why. What would you do with it? I'd make a Talking DOS or other programs that would be enhanced with the speech capability
  15. Yes on the PBI too, I've disassebled the ROM code, but will have to clean it up to make better sense of it, but I have found where it installs the handlers in HATABS, so that's a start...
  16. Yes, the handler for the floppy is in the same ROM as the Speech and Modem handlers. Don't know if it uses the "takeover" aspect of SIO/PBI protocol, that's where a schematic would help to learn from
  17. Is there a schematic of this board around somewhere? It would be nice to make use of the parallel floppy interface... Jay
  18. Good News: Package arrived today But ONLY 1 item was sent out of 2 paid, so I suppose the 2nd will be sent next month if Zaxon's plan works out... Thanks Piotr, looking forward to play with these Jay
  19. Yep, Romox is on the bottom two cases, the black one has the eproms soldered, but I haven't opened up the white one yet. The one on the top right has the eproms socketed. Still looking for the blue cased one... Interesting read on that link I see that a seller has an unopened Romox Programmable cart on ebay, but they want way too much for it... Jay
  20. Here's the pics, The white case and one black cased are Romox carts... Jay
  21. Look for an XL with the Black Label on the bottom, these are made in Hong Kong and have ALL IC's socketed (helps in repairs and upgrades)... Jay
  22. Sure, I'll try to get those pics this afternoon...
  23. Have you looked at the PDF in post #304 ? it's a 1450 schematic and even has U24 wired correctly, plus the wiring to the floppy board... Jay
