When I get mine, I think I'll use an XE Cart case and shave down the sides just enough for PCB to fit and cut out an opening on the top for the CF Card. This will make fitting into the 800 rather nicely The 2nd SIDE cart will stay original for the XL's and XE's... Jay

Why is there an unusable edge connector on 800 motherboard?
AtariGeezer replied to oky2000's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Back in '83, I made a cable with two female edge card connectors and fitted/glued the one connector to the back of my original 800. I was thinking that it might be a S100-Bus and would be cool to make some kind of interface for it, but didn't get too far... Later on I figured that it might just have been connected to a testbed at the factory for a function test of the motherboard... Jay -

Hi all, Back in the 80's I borrowed a friends' ComputerEyes and made a schematic from it and built my own interface, but I can't find either of these in my old boxes... If someone has the schematics or good pictures of both sides of the circuit board they can send me, I'd really appreciate it so I can make another Thanks, Jay

I just tried SDCopy.com and found that it will not run from the Menu, but if you [Q]uit to DOS XL and type sdcopy, it does indeed work Edit: Also, you can enter the [X]tended Command and type sdcopy for it to work... Jay
