Build Your Own Atari In Less Than An Hour!
AtariGeezer replied to beamer320i's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I first thought that it was the redesigned ELF-II or KIM-1, but nope... -
Received the two carts today, the mounts are intact, but the bottom edge of one half of the case has a cut-out to allow space for the ROM to fit (when extended). Looks like someone had issues with these not fitting in properly or some tweeker had a "bright idea" ? I carefully took these apart and put the PCB's back to where they should be and they fit fine in an 800XL with the cases put back together. Good thing is that they both work

I downloaded #20 PDF yesterday, it's 119 megs and took about 10 minutes to download with firefox...

I've seen quite a few on ebay go for over $100 loose, but I did pay $40 for one that was listed in the wrong category

That's all I need is another computer, have like 20 so far I was hoping to have another working tool for the 64 instead...

Here is Passionately with a few other music demos... RobotDemo01B.ATR

I've read all of those pages but one when testing, even typed in the one test program, but that froze too... I saw one comment from a Genie Posting that said that only a 64 with a 5 Pin DIN for the monitor jack would work? There's a guy on eBay that is selling the complete package and listed "As Working". I'll type in the Filtran program and see how that goes... Thanks for the replies, Jay
-
That would be my 2nd guess too, but didn't see that on the demo pages to confirm... I'll check my floppies...

Sounds like Dancing Feats?

I recently picked up one of these on ebay, but can not get it going. I've downloaded the correct d64 image and copied to a floppy, but after I load "CPM",8 and run, the c64 just freezes... Anyone ever get one of these to work??? Thanks, Jay

Could also be IC A110, best way to know is to use an LED Logic Probe or an O'Scope and check the signals when trying to access a disk. When you power on your Atari, does the 810 attempt to seek to a track? If it does, then the write commands are working and would suggest the read circuitry is faulty. If not A110, then maybe LM311 could be at fault. I've had a scratched head before that caused mis-reads, but it did read the sectors...

800XL: Composite video problems on LCD HDTVs?
AtariGeezer replied to YoshiMatt's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yes, on my Sharp HDTV you select the Input first, then choose the Color System under the Options Menu... -
HackerBook has one on page 50. It can burn four types 2532(4k), 2732(4k), the 2516(2k) and the 2716 (2k). The burner uses game ports 1 ,2 and 3. This is one I built years ago and worked great for me... Jay

800XL: Composite video problems on LCD HDTVs?
AtariGeezer replied to YoshiMatt's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Try changing your color settings from Auto to NTSC (USA) or PAL (EUR) -
It worked for me earlier this morning... 1) check the "Allow Outbound connections" 2) do not check the IPV6 option 3) uncheck the Require DTE option 4) set BobTerm to Ascii, 1200 baud 5) Press return to enter terminal mode 6) type ATDI bfbbs.no-ip.com 23 and hit return, it should now work for you too Jay

My 6502 may be a bit rusty, but how will your draw loop ever exit when it's done?

Extract the ods file from the zip and rename it with .zip instead of .ods ...
