  1. I would like 2 of these please , one for XL with ribbon cable, one for XE Thanks, Jay
  2. Put me down for 2 quality boards too please Jay
  3. I'd still ask for a $20 to $30 partial refund, couldn't hurt to try...
  4. Well, that's what ebay will tell you if the seller reports it, trust me I know, I found out the hard way I agree, that was dishonest representation by leaving out details of the actual condition. Very misleading...
  5. You can't tell a seller that you will leave NEG feedback if he won't issue a refund, that's extortion! You have to word your message to a seller with a round about way instead...
  6. I have an 810 Archiver. Is that the same as "The Chip"? I opened it up and looks like it's just a ROM upgrade. I have to say that I prefer the 810. It doesn't have the performance of the other drives, but it looks so cool and retro sitting next to my 400. I really need to get another to stack on top of it and complete the look. Perry Yep, that is one in the same :-) I use mine to recover bad floppies, besides making back-ups...
  7. Also, if the seller is one of those who stands behind the general "AS-IS" (passing the buck, not my problem anymore) statement, it could be like pulling teeth

  9. For my 3.5 floppies, I just connect the SF314 to my ATR-8000, alot easier to modify the cable instead

  11. I got this recently: 1040ST's: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 160552859508p One turned out to be a 1040STE Just need to see what's wrong with it...
  12. Wow! How many 15 y/o's did you know who could afford an Atari 800 in 1979? I bought my first Atari 800 (16k) in 1981 for $699 and a 32k ram board for another $100. Back then I was only making $350 per month in the USAF...
  13. Looking for the Hamsoft and/or Hamtext Carts by Kantronics for the Atari... Thanks, Jay
  14. I have one of these too, it was a freebie in an ebay auction. Seller thought it was a port tester?
  15. I would check the voltages first before swapping parts, could end up frying a good part if a regulator is out of specs...
  16. Have you checked any capacitors inline with pins 24-28 (A14-15, and D5-D7) from the CPU to ground? maybe a dry cap or a cold solder connection?
  17. Yes, for single stage exe's it's pretty easy to do... Back in 83-84, I made a program that could convert cassettes, carts and disk to one another. It's probably on one of those PD ATR's.
  18. That could have been me bidding on that listing, one of the things I really wanted, but after checking my current eBay Bill and what's in the checking account, I would have been way over drawn and my credit card couldn't take any more Sorry for any problems... Best Regards, Jay
