Yeah that's the debounce code.
Here's a 1.0b 'convenience' build (binaries only) Note the beta designation...
Remo, did you compile this yourself? and which program and OS are you using?

Yesterday I used my SDrive Max with an 810 connected to the Incognito 800, stock 1200XL and a stock 130XE all with the same results.
SDrive Max is powered by the USB jack through a 5v 2A wallwart and the diode is a 1n914 (same used on my SIO2WiFi which doesn't have an issue when using the 810).
I have D1: on the SDrive Max set as Empty, but trying to boot the 810 is a no go. Really don't think it's a hardware issue, but rather a firmware bug...
With the SDrive Max powered off, I booted a DOS Disk on the 810 then powered up the SDrive Max (D1: is empty), tried to get a directory listing on D1: and just got an error 138. When D1: is empty it's not really OFF as it should be...
Looking into WinAVR and AVR Studio today...

Looks like the diode is covered by the orange shrink tube?

Cool, thank you
Not needed at the moment, but it's always good to be prepared

Yep, but the firmware to flash the esp8266 has or hasn't?
-
i'll provide the instructions and what to flash to esp8266 (via usb) so it can act as unbricker (it will configure fpga so the update procedure can be ran again and flash chip reprogrammed)
Has this been posted yet?

So after switching to the other board that came in screwed I set the baud rate to that wierd
While there is no indication that this a nodemcu board, I did try as you suggested. No luck.

Since the nodeMCU board and your ESP-07 board have the same 12E chip, figured it should.
Your USB Programmer just needs a reset switch added to program the ESP-01's...
-
still no success to speak of. I'm beginning to think that the programming button was never meant to be used to flash firmware only to program the user portion of the flash. Using the nodemcu flasher and the software bin file this is what the log states.
Note:Detect serial port changed.
Note:Auto MAP serial port.Port-->COM3
Note:Serial port connected.
Note:Begin find ESP8266.
Note:ESP8266 ACK success.
Error:Read ESP8266 register timeout.
Okay, to put it in manual Bootstrap mode / flash, try this.
1. Press and hold the Reset button.
2. Slide switch to Program mode.
3. Release Reset Button.
This is what I have to do with my programmer board and to put the nodemcu board in manual bootstrap / flash mode.
(my step 2 is to press and hold the program button and step 4 would be to release the program button).
Then run flasher again...

Just gives me constantly flashing red and blue lights when in the UART mode.
That's what my ESP-01 did after a bad flash. It is possible to recover from that.
The nodemcu flasher will put the board in flash mode automatically if it has the circuitry builtin.

I then tried using AtariGeezer's method and it failed as well.
After flashing, did you run your terminal program at 1200 baud and wait 6 seconds for it to display anything?
This flasher might be better suited for your board ?

Is this Zimodem 3.4 saving the Wifi config and Address Book and do those survive a power cycle?
Yes, even a week or 2 later

Just for reference and for any others that want to flash their ESP-01 with Zimodem using Windows XP and maybe higher, I used this program with these settings:
flash_download_tools_v2.4_150924.rar
I'm now using Express! terminal cartridge.
Zimodem connected
Confic screen
Main menu with no glitches in display

I uploaded my copy of the Puff BBS in the other thread in the main forum, something about commercial BBS programs or something. I think a couple of people got it to run. Someone decoded the dongle too.
Yep, only a few files were missing, but I think we re-created most of them.
The dongle is posted here

Do you have a PLCC Adapter for that?

Wrong type of chip for U1MB, look at this post: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/261147-1088xel-alternative-mother-board-project/page-52?do=findComment&comment=4117963

Interesting! I checked active and sold listings for Magic Sac+ and found no hits. Thank you for the info, I appreciate it. I think then, the most valuable thing I got in the lot is a complete copy of Ultima 2. I can only find one sold listing for that and it was back in July for $350, missing disc 2. My copy is complete with both discs. Guess that's the winner in the lot! It was actually what personally drew me to it.
Also on ebay, I got a deal on Ultima 2 for $20, was only missing the map...

Well that definitely helps to know! Bummer for me, haha. Did you get them on Ebay or?
Yep on ebay, the cheaper one was by itself and the other had docs and floppies.
Both already had ROMs installed...

I bought 1 this year for $6.49 and another last year for $9.99...

Thanks for the replies
If only I had HD space or a Memory stick to install Ubuntu again I could use this route, but not at the moment...
