  1. I‘d be interested in taking part in the beta-test
  2. PAL unfortunately was an afterthought with the 2600+. The 7800 PAL emulation is barely there…
  3. That might be true for 2600 carts. PAL 7800 carts won´t run as advertised by Atari - many simply do not work. I think it´s quite misleading to advertise the 2600+ as playing 7800 carts in PAL territory.
  4. PAL Xevious doesn‘t work, it produces just some graphical gliches. all tested Homebrew carts (Beef Drop, Pac Man Collection, FailSafe, Knight Guy, Rip Off, Slide Boy, Popeye) don’t work Planet Smashers, Galaga, Dig Dug do work Ikari Warrioirs works but the buttons are reversed
  5. it´s a great game and it comes in a great package! Thank you for that!
  6. Let´s collect test results for the 2600+ regarding its ability to play 7800 PAL carts! Please add more! (and let´t keep it PAL 7800) ---- unplayable: - Ballblazer is very slow, glitches, unplayable - Commando (resets when you press fire to start) - Choplifter (black screen) - Food Fight (black screen) - Karateka (black screen) - Ms. Pac Man (crashed screen) - Joust (black screen) playable, but messed up: - Galaga (playable, but bottom quarter of screen not visible) - Kung-Fu Master (playable, but background graphics messed up) - Title Match Pro Wresting (playable, but sound issues) - Tower Toppler (playable, but tower graphics differ from original)
  7. Yes, maybe it would make sense to have two different threads: one for PAL 7800 testing, one for PAL 2600
  8. For me, the Atari 2600+ is a case of misleading advertising. In Europe and Australia it should not be sold with the claim that it can play 7800 games.
  9. i mainly bought the 2600+ for its 7800 compatibility - unfortunately that sucks here in PAL territory. Actually it‘s quite misleading to sell the 2600+ as working with 7800 carts in PAL countries
  10. seems like releasing the 2600+ in PAL territory was more like an afterthought for Atari
  11. yeah, it’s a pitty: Food Fight is the best game on the 7800 and the main reason i bought the 2600+ for
  12. I gave my new Atari 2600+ a first small test run tonight and was surprised to see quite a few games not working, that were advertised as working by Atari. Food Fight, Karateka and Joust (all 7800) for example or Donkey Kong (2600). Is this an PAL issue?
  13. So it was you who was faster than me on "Kleinanzeigen" If you want to sell the "Aztec" Tape - i´m interested!
  14. For me also one "Soundtrack Edition" to Germany, pleaase
  15. Food Fight is great on the 7800 and quite terrible on the A8 (Framerate is too low)
  16. just got my HOKEY chip and installed it in my socketed pre-production Concerto. Updated the firmware to 0.96 All the games run fine on my PAL-machine, but no POKEY sound...? any ideas why?
  17. https://www.ebay.de/itm/165898417134?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0&ssspo=z2KC_6QIQwm&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=z2KC_6QIQwm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  18. English isn‘t my first language but „condition unkown“ and „untested“ means you don’t know in what condition the Atari is in and haven‘t tested it. Or am i wrong? And: Don‘t mention the gold!
  19. so „untested“ really means broken?
