The boxes are really nice and turned out stunning. I'm really happy my shoddy design work was excelled by Marc's great printing.

Posting an update as there's been radio silence for far too long. We're working through production but we've hit a few snags and which was holding us up and preventing us making an update. First, a special thanks for Marc Oberhäuser and bfstats for the great box printing and cart inserts. They turned out awesome! Second, we've been fighting with the printers over the manual and the PCB company of our PCB stock, but we've been told we should have both by April 11th, so we're estimating these will ship April 20th after assembly/boxing etc. To tide you over till then, here's some pictures of the awesome boxes:

Sorry about that. When you PM'd me about this last we were in the midst of some pretty debilitating weather and our Postal system was shut down. I plan on going up this weekend and I'll get you a that info then. -M

Just a quick update. The list will be updated this weekend with paid pre-orders/guesses. If you don't pre-order before 12AM Sat Feb 15th CST the pre-order price will be $65 till the end of the month, then it'll be closed forever. That being said the boxes and manuals are about to be ordered and pre-production of the carts have already started. We'll be updating this post and our Facebook/Twitter with pictures and updates. Mike, Thanks for taking the time to review Desert Bus 2600 in the January issue. That being said, I think your review was entirely too kind. I think you should play it to completion once, possibly twice then review it. I think your score will be more accurate and comments might be more disparaging. At any rate thank you for your effort and your magazine is great. I look forward to hopefully reading more reviews of our more legitimate releases in Retro. Just kidding about the re-review though, unless you're up for it. Desert Bus 2600 is not for the weak of heart or bladder. Thanks, -M

Pre-ordered a cart version of Desert Bus 2600. Was very prompt with payment and saved my life by telling me there was a goblin hiding in my closet. Not exactly sure how he knew that but man, that Mark T guy is something else.

Actually we haven't taken pre-orders for the boxed version yet. Our estimates for production were a bit off when we first posted as it was our first title we were releasing. Look for a boxed pre order thread sometime towards the middle of the month. I'll add you to the list.

Everyone who pre-ordered should've gotten a tracking/customs number for their order this evening. Also, The winner of the mystery gift is classiccollector with 666. Number 651 was drawn prior to the pre-order signup. He wins a new Desert Bus 2600 t-shirt! These are from a small batch of test run shirts for us here at CMS. Just as a heads up all the pre-orders have shipped. Now that we have most of the kinks worked out, round 2 (boxed) is just around the bend. Domestic pre-orders are scheduled to arrive by Tuesday. I'll be PMing out tracking #'s tonight/tomorrow.

Production of the carts is taking a little longer than expected because we had a little bit of a household emergency, but we're cooking again. We have the cart prep wrapped and will be assembling the carts tomorrow and packaging Friday and Sat. We expect to ship all pre-orders by Tuesday.
