Nice Job You'll may find more infos about bankswitching here : http://tripoint.org/kevtris/files/sizes.txt Any possibility to know more about you sram cart ? How does it work ? Do you use this cart with the modified 7800 (Eckhard DevOs ) ?
  5. Well........ I don't undersand..... It's cheaper to buy NEW games in boxes to TELEGAMES. (Space Invaders $14.95, Asteroids $9.95...)
  6. I've always had a cart plugged into my VCS(s) and I never had any problem.
  7. Two of the three AtariSoft prototypes shown at the Classic Gaming Expo released You'll find the Rom images here : http://victoly.cjb.net
  8. Tempest is joking... To go to his site you just have to click on the "Author's Hompage" icon, just above his post.

    VCS Simulator

But my first goal wasn't to be 101% technical perfect but just to provide fun VCS-like games to the Atari VCS players community. I think the feeling to play real VCS games using VCS Simulator is 99.9%. Regarding the lot of compliment emails I received I think I've reached my goal. BTW : - YES, VCSS allows minor improved graphic effects compared to a real VCS. but generally I try to be as close as possible to the real VCS capabilities. - YES, the sounds need improvements - YES, I can write VCSS games without regarding to much about the Kb used
  11. Hey Matty, don't worry ! It's not in my habits to cast the blame on others. I'm a big boy and I always assume what I do
  12. quote: Originally posted by Atari70s I see that but id be more afraid to mess witha a rare cart... I understand that Have you some no-working carts ?
  13. Good Idea Chad : Shameless self promotion (too) I'd really want to buy a cuttle cart, but it's out of my budget for now....so I think I'll produce a limited edition of my next VCS Simulator game. ... maybe I'll add a bonus level or enhanced graphics compare to the public release... just an idea i'll dig. This will cover the cost... among other things. [ 09-19-2001: Message edited by: khryssun ]
  14. I'm not sure about that because it was far far away in my childhood. But it seems to me that the SW Empire strikes back I had (a PAL one I'm sure of that) played the Star Wars Theme. The one I just received don't. Maybe I'm confused... I've played too much the NTSC version on emulators... Does a PAL version with the Star Wars Theme exist ?
  15. Hey Matty I didn't know that problem with the supercharger... That will be helpful for me.... the day I'll catch one
  16. First screenshots of my new game for the VCS Simulator will be relesased within 2 weeks... I hope
  17. Atari 70s, Well, as my gamer side is strongest than my collector's one, I think I'll do it because a no-working cart is just a plastic box with a nice label for me....(sometimes I'm totally insane LOL) But I'd do it ONLY if I'd be sure of the cause of the problem. please note that I opened the Volleyball cart because I noticed that a circuit track was cut near the pin connector before. Don't do it if you don't feel it !
  18. quote: Originally posted by Saqqqq 2. Secondly, concerning Atari boxes,do you guys have any tips on how to strengthn up youre game boxes, get them back strong and in shape? (inclduing the 2600 box itself?) Yep, I've restored 3 game boxes so far. One box was totally crushed and now it stand up My method : - You'll need a cutter, strong glue, strong (but thin) cardboard... and patience (it's better to use cardboard having the same or near color than the original inside box one) - The main idea is to reinforce the 2 lateral sides of the (plus eventually other weackness zone if required.) - Use the cutter to totally open the box cutting the box in the thickness of the original glued parts. - Measure height and with of the lateral sides and cut 2 identical scaled pieces into cardboard. - Glued them - Restored if necessary the internal structure (cart support part) - Rebuild the box - Done ! Hope this help
  19. It's the first time I receive a no-working cart due to a material problem.... Anyway I fixed it and now it works... The most annoying thing for me was to open the cart avoiding to mess up the Labels... I found a not so bad technique... Pictures and explanations of this operation are on my site : Direct Link any comment ?
  20. Nice day for you Zero quote: Originally poste by Ze_ro ...the boxes are in pretty bad shape... You may restore them. I recently done that for some bad shape boxes I had. This requires a 30 min/1 hour per box regarding the condition. But woaw I was surprised by the result. (Eckhard, you'll not recognize the pacman box.... It stand up now... )
  21. Never heard of modified supercharger before ?
