    Greetings,

If you place a $400+ order, I will include both games for free.  No need to split it into two.  I initially thought about restricting the free games to one per individual, regardless of amount or number of orders placed, but, hey, I don't want to discourage someone from placing a larger order.  :)

One way to get a Ballblazer cart or POKEY to me is to buy one in the US and have it shipped directly to me.  Of course, you'd want to check with the seller to make sure they are okay with that first.  PAL Ballblazer carts are fine.  I have not sacrificed any Commando carts, nor do I want to do so, since that game is rarer than Ballblazer.  No rush on getting me the cart, but I would not be able to complete the order until I have it.  Another option is to acquire a POKEY chip in Australia, and I could then send you the game and you can install the POKEY yourself (I always socket the POKEY for these games).  Then assemble it, and put the labels on yourself as well.  A few people have done this, as obviously international shipping is expensive.

Order done! I have added a message with it, let me know where to send the Ballblazer carts and I'll do that as soon as I get them (ordered locally). It will probably take a couple of weeks until you get them, so no rush. Looking forward to these games I have been wanting for a long time....

  2. Hi Albert, great timing with the promotion as I was about to do a big order and thanks for sending the email as I unfortunately don't spend enough time on Atariage and miss on things sometime.

    Just a few questions first:

Can I split the order in 2 to get both games or will you still send me both if I order more than $400?

Also, as I am in Australia, is there any USA source of pokey chip that would be easier than sending sacrificial games from here?

If not, are Ballblazer or Commando PAL cart ok? Would you be able to give me a bit more time to get them organized, shipped here and ship to you?

I could split my order to make the POKEY one all together if that makes it easier.

    Let me know, thanks.

  3. Anyone could help me with this to? I am using the Harmony Software 1.3 and the lastet VCP (2.12.28) on a Windows 10 machine and can't seem to connect to the software to update my firmware (my cart is not functional and shows a black screen on my Atari). After further investigation, I have noticed that in the properties of USB Controllers / USB Converter of Device Manager when looking at the tab Events, I have a 2 recent message that says: Device not migrated (Device USB\VID_0403&PID_6015\6&158aa40c&0&1 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match) and also Device install requested (Device USB\VID_0403&PID_6015\6&158aa40c&0&1 requires further installation) which from what I can understand might be the reason why I can't access the cart with the Harmony Software. I have tried everything I could think of, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

  4. Oh, so now if I understand, there's no way to know until we get the Super CV controller then.

Also how confident are you that if my console was to have issues, the controller chips would be the problem? And if they are, how easy are they to find and replace?

Pretty sure I'll go with this and hope my RGB modded console will pass the test (if not at least my AV modded one). Thanks, Jon

    Hi!

    Thanks for your kind words.

No, that's not correct. Passing those tests with original controllers is not necessarily predictive of 100% compatibility with a Super CV. We proved the negative/opposite case - if the original controller failed with those two problems the Super CV did also.

We don't really understand why the three consoles we tested behave differently from one another with the same controller. Our next guess is to replace the controller chips, but that's just a guess.

    Ed

  5. Hi Ed, so if I understand well, if my current Colecovision with stock controllers works fine with Defender and Interphase Aquattack, then the New Super CV controller will work flawlessly with all the original and homebrew games? Any other games I could test with a stock controller to make sure this is the best decision for me? Thanks again for all the hard work. Jon

  6.

I'm sure I could find a nearby Western Union location. Also there are plenty of Walmart and 7 Eleven stores around. What information do I need to provide to make it happen? :)

I'll need your details including address as it appears on your driving license (or receivers ID) as it will need to be shown to pick up the cash at one of the many location. Apart from that, as long as you are willing to do this, my understanding is that you can pick it up at any location which provide the service. I can see 19 location within 5 miles of Alvison,CA 95002-3277, so I would assume it shouldn't be a problem. Happy to give you a list of places close to any address you provide me. The fee is only $10AUD and the money will be available to pick up within a few hours. It's cash for you and it's easy for me (Online and I can use a Credit Card...), work for both of us, and a lot of other people I would think. Let me know if this works out for you and I'll do the transfer ASAP.

  7. yeah the clones can be av modded, I think slydc modded his conic, I know he modded his visicom. Maybe try to contact him for how to do so.

I know the clone games don't fit in the rca s2 without taking the cart shell off.

I think the rca s2 carts fit in the clone models though....but cant remember for sure now offhand.

All the games are cart slot compatible except for the visicom...just the rca s2 cart shells are a bit different shape from all the other clone carts shells.

Thanks Stupus! I'll try and contact him and see. I guess as long as the multicart could be fitted in a empty shell of whichever clone you want to use, then there would be no problems for sure. Thanks for the info, really excited to have picked this up.

  8. Hi, just caught on this thread as I just acquired a "Victory" from a friend (who found another one in the box!). This thread is a great read, and full unknown facts. But I am left with a few questions.

Can the victory be AV modded? Would anyone have the plans to do this?

Is the multicart still in progress? Such a project would be compatible with my model as well as other clones right?

As you can imagine, I really need one (as many of you, I am sure). I only have the built-in game (Bowling) and I think I have never seen games here for sale (and postage just kill any overseas options. Having all the games (and extra homebrew stuff if possible) in 1 cart would be amazing.

Anyway, hope this thread keeps going and that this system will stay alive thanks to the retro community! The Retro Gamer magazine article was surely an eye opener!

    Thanks
