    YAY!

So is Private Message. Get it? You said General Chat and I said Private Message? They are both Forum functions and they are both military titles! General and Private? Oh man, am I on a roll now! Try the veal, I'll be here all week! Hello? Is this mic on? >crickets chirping< >crickets chirping< >crickets chirping< =) that cracked me up.
  2. The most I'd be most id be confortable paying is about $8. After shipping... ... the problem is a store around me sells all the classic type controllers for $2. Makes me kind of spoiled when i walk out with 3 super action controllers, some paddles, and an atari jaguar controller for $10... I mean, Its stuff like that, that makes it hard to pay a lot for controllers... Sadly though, the sega genesis controllers are $5. I have one, but its not in the best of shape. I just like the looks of the 7800s controller, its not a copy of the NES controller or anything. Just today, I finally recieved a 'Brand New Xbox 360 Game' in the mail today, from an american seller (new york, 99.6% positive reviews, 7900 stars). The game was only $13... Seller was stupid and shipped it in a little sleave, with no padding. The game arrives. Shurely enough the case is busted in lots of pieces, and still in the plastic wrap. Contacted the seller. In order to get a new one, I must pay return shipping and pay shipping back. Which will total right around what I payed for the games anyway, saying they cant to anything else. However, the seller still has not sent feedback to me yet... so if I leave the negitive feedback I want, it is highly likely the I will recieve negitive feedback as well... thus, they get possitive feedback ... feedback is not always correct. That seller I bought the controller from has already sent me possitive feedback. I paid promptly, and that is all there 'auto feedback' machines require. When a seller has in the high 98%, and half of those are from shipping complents (people are stupid), and the others got a refund (and it was for one certain adapter item). Its not right to rule them out. At least with this seller, I am not forced into giving possitive feedback, if I dont have a good experience with them.
  3. I really like what he did with the carts in the second picture. I thought it was creative. The last picture is upsetting though... ... but wouldnt it be cool to install buttons and an analog stick into a broken atari cart, making it into a usable controller? ... or with how far technology has come, intall a small processor, lcd screen, controls, switch, and other essentials. Making a space invaders cart. Into an actually playable space invaders 2600 game, handheld thing...
  4. In the last month, there have been 260 positive reviews, with only 6 negitive reviews. Half of those are based on the slow shipping time (which you should expect from a sale from hong kong, also they mention the 3 week shipping period in the description) and the other 3 are from some adapter, which the seller replied saying that they refunded their money. 260 to 6 (being as half of those were due to shipping) isnt that bad of a ratio. ... and even if something does happen, and I dont get a refund, im only down 3 dollars... I personally have bought a lot of things from China through ebay. They always take forever to arrive, but none the less do arive, and work perfectly. I have a little keychain video camera that was under 6 bucks (now theyre 6.50). After recieving my item, it worked perfectly, as the camera... but I also wanted to use it as a webcam, contact the seller, and they even sent me an email with the webcam firmware. All in all ive had better experiences with sellers from china, than america. There have been multiple times when American sellers have messed stuff up like shipping the wrong thing + recieving chipped items due to poor shpping materials). I mean dont get me wrong, some times you can clearly tell that the chinesse seller is using a translator, that doesnt always do such a good job... but you always get the best price, and people that try to the best of their ability to help. keychain video camera: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300574337780 I think the controller buttons just look tall and spaced apart, because your comparing it to a playstation controller. Where I actually think this controller size is smaller. Giving the illusions that the buttons are really high, and spaced apart... but if all fails, and it is complete shit, at least I have a housing to start a fun controller project.
  5. Link to Ebay Seller At the above link, I just purchased a very cheap 9 pin controller. My hopes is that I will be able to use it on my 2600 or colecovision, but that is all dependent on how it is wired. If not, I dont think it would be that hard to re-wire. I contacted the seller to ask if they knew if it works on the genesis, colecovision, 2600, or 7800... but that was just recently, so no response yet. The controller does look cheap, but I doubt it would break very easily. My two fears are that the buttons may be unconfortable and that it might not have standard screws (making it hard to re-wire). Which I think it would be fun to try and rewire it to what I want... so im kind of hoping it doesnt work at first =). Either way, for the price, i figured if it goes back into the drawer, all im missing out on is two rodeo cheeseburgers from burger king . I thought id bring this item to this forum in case anyone was interested, after all these forums have helped me with lots of this. I personally have been trying to score a 7800 gamepad for cheap, with no results...
  6. lol, you have to have something to get you through the day =). Keep up the excellent productivity.
  7. Thanks to everyone whom offered their advice. The problem is that I was probably going to just take one up to a local store, that sells vintage consoles, and sell it their. In order to sell it though, I would have to have a way to use the system. Although I purchase a lot of stuff online, ive never actually sold anything. I may have to look into selling it on ebay. Ill look into that. I couldnt seem to find any information about the coleco gemini at all on that site. All the information was colecovision based, or so it seemed. Thanks for looking though. It seems like a weird site for the blocks to have picked up on. Seeing as they dont block atariage.com.
  8. First off, Im sorry if this is not in the right thread. It seemed like a nice fit, so I put it here. Ive been wanting a coleco gemini for quite some time. They just arent posted to often on ebay, nor craigs list, so ive been waiting patiently. So recently I bought a lot of coleco gemini's. I got 3 of them for $50 on ebay. They do all work. The only problem is I only have one power supply for all three. In order to resell, one my extras, I was wondering if anyone is aware of what kind of power supply it takes. It is 9v, and its a bizzare headphone looking like jack [it fits nicely into my earphone slot on my zune(probably 9mm)]. I am aware that the ipod shuffle uses a simular type plug. For 4 dollars I could get on shipped to my house. The problems are that those are only 5v, which I doubt would be enough juice to power it and the fact that the cords length is very small is an issue as well. So my question is, is there a spot, or a way to get cords for cheap that will work with this system? Will the ipods cord work? and it there any other type of system that uses the same type power supply that I could use? -Thanks ---explosiveegg
  9. lol, thats quite neat, ill try that if it breaks down again.
  10. Egg, the design of the controller, button wise, was terrible. However, the foil will greatly help, because the default buttons are just carbon dots, and aluminum foil is much more conductive. bohoki's offer is very convenient. You shouldn't have to clean the circuits again for awhile. Remember, the sticks are 25 years old and likely had never been cleaned. Thank you very much for your help.
  11. Ive never seen such a thin circuit board... its like paper. I opened it up, and cleaned the connections with a tiny bit of rubbing alchol and a q-tip. It works perfectly. Sadly, though, i feel as this is just a temporary fix, but until it breaks again, i wont do anything else to it. Im quessing i was playing too much q*bert, that i let a lot of particles in... ... but i got to try my new super breakout that i picked up at a store for a dollar, and it is truely fun, the pressure sensitive anolog stick works so well with the game. If only u didnt need the trigger to shoot the ball. Thank you everyone for all the help! -egg
  12. Alright, thank you to everyone with the helpful advice, I will attempt cleaning it, and get back to you guys with the results. Thanks again for all the help. -egg
  13. Ill right, ill try and look that up, thank you very much for your help. I do know people call these controllers shit, but i thought it was odd for it to happen to both at the very same exact time, when they both were working fine.
  14. I had bought an atari 5200 a while ago, and it work perfectly for the first few days, its the two port model. Yet after a few days i couldnt get the triggers to work on either of the controllers that seem in almost perfect condition. I use the anolog stick, it works perfectly, as do the other number at top buttons. Just for superbreakout, i cant launch the ball, i cant shoot in centipede. I highly doubt this is the both of the controllers acting up the same way at the same time. Is this a common problem? is there any advice? thanks egg
