Millipede Trak-Ball for me, though Wolfenstein VCS: The Next Mission is a very close second.

Anyone see that episode of "Freaks and Geeks" when the mother and father are talking about this song? The mother says it's about an accordion and the father thinks it's about sex.

  7. This whole project is absolutely brilliant. I've been looking for an idea for my first Raspberry Pi project and I think this is it. Thanks for posting. I will definitely keep my eye on this project.
  8. I just want to say something. I don't care who you voted for, I'm cool with you either way. We all have one great thing in common, we all love Atari. In a time when people are so bitterly divided it's great that we all have something that brings us all together.
  9. It's been several days and I still haven't turned my clocks back. I'm living in the future, man! You should see it here. We have flying cars and stuff.

  10. Check out our recap of PRGE 2016. Easily the best show yet! http://digthatbox.com/portland_retro_gaming_expo_2016_show_report.html

Very nice! At the start, I was already working up my umbrage to let you know you didn't notice the Intellivision community and then... I saw you did! Wow! That was very nice. Thanks for the write up. The entire article is a blast. Now I wish I could have gone even more! :)

Nice! Can't wait until I can make it out there again. I did notice the link for the MMDC Retro Player goes to wrong video.

  11. Is it wrong that when faced with a week full of work, and a very stressful upcoming presidential election, all I want to do is play Atari 2600 instead?

    1. 7800fan

      7800fan

My plan for Tuesday is to get up early, get to polling place when it opens at 7, vote, run back home and sleep the whole day away. I'll check the result Wednesday morning.

    2. simbalion

      simbalion

I have to work until 3 on Tuesday. I plan to get to the polls, vote, and then hide until I have to be at work at 2pm Wednesday.

    3. DZ-Jay

      DZ-Jay

I don't find the presidential election stressful at all. Of course, I tuned out at around May. I'll just wait it out until 2,020 and try again.

  13. We desperately need a flash cart for the Atari Jaguar. I just want to play the games.

There's talk of various projects. To be fair, the SKunkboard has been offered up three times in the last few years. Keep an eye on the forums for the next time someone makes a run...

    2. save2600

      save2600

For someone comparing to the Everdrive's, etc. the Skunk is a cumbersome PITA to use. When you do lumber your laptop or PC up to the thing, gotta flash the game and only holds 2 images at a time. Jag needs a real big boy menu driven SD multicart solution already.

It's on the way! Skunk will do for now. That'll do skunk..

  15. I honestly thought AA had the best booth at the show. There are so many great games on the horizon that my wallet is going to be hurting for months. Rebooteroids is amazing. You can just hook that game directly to my veins. I'm going to play it forever. I was also completely blown away by Super Game Module by Opcode Games. New hardware for classic systems always excites me. The game selection was also incredible. I also need to get my hands on every Track Ball hack game. I can't wait to play them all. But the one thing that really stood out to me was the MMDC Retro Player. This thing needs to go into production ASAP! Maybe some crowd funding? Anyway... here's my video tour of the AA booth. As you can see it was definitely an impressive set up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzyMLQuz_-k
  16. Check out our video tour of the amazing AtariAge booth at PRGE 2016. Once again AA has the best booth at the show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzyMLQuz_-k

  17. I don't care to date the coins. It compromises the artwork. For example, I didn't want to put the year 2016 on our Lucky Seven token. You also don't have much space to work with on a 0.984 token. I'm not going to cut back on artwork to include a date. Maybe if I create a coin for a specific event I'll consider it, but for now, I'm not interested.

Some unusual arcade machines this time around! Stratovox, Lazarian, Tank II, and some other odd ones I can't recall. Did my best ever at Congo Bongo today.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Man I haven't played Stratovox in years! There was a Safeway store that had it here and I remember the cashier saying the first time she heard those voices, she thought maybe she was overworked and was hearing things.

  21. Yes, I got those as well. Amazing detail for a Gashapon toy! I still haven't painted them yet, but hope to do so at some point in the future. As soon as I return from Portland I'll post some pics.
  22. Hey everyone, I'm curious to see what kind of cool exclusives might be for sale at PRGE 2016. If you follow the official website you know they're going to have a great selection of t-shirts. But what about homebrew games and other exclusives? Have any of you heard anything from other websites, exhibitors or vendors? What about AtariAge? Will we have anything new at the show? Please feel free to shamelessly plug your own products too. I'm sure you'll be helping out a lot of folks, including myself, who want to plan our purchases before the show. Thanks in advance!
  23. About that Nintendo Switch.... I first heard rumors about it over three years ago. http://digthatbox.com/history_and_future_of_nintendo_portable_gaming.html
