  1. I'm only casually interested in the 2600 since I already have a composite modded Vader, a Flashack 2 and a Harmony Cartridge.

That said, I've always wanted to own a working wood grain six switch system, which I see you have two. I'd like the one in better condition along with a copy of Combat without any label damage to either its front or top labels. Only thing is I assume youre in the US somewhere so shipping will be a nightmare. even so I'm interested.

Would you be interested in a trade? Check out my sale thread and pm me back.

  2. This is very sad news indeed. My father bought a Commodore 64 shortly before I was born and throughout the late 80s when I was very young it was not only my first computer, but also my first game system. Thanks to BBSes and other kids, I had a huge amount of pirated C64 games including some of the best games even to this day including Ducks 'Ohoy, The Great Giana Sisters, Ultimate Wizard, Jumpman Jr., Boulderdash and so many more.

  3. Not exactly a classic console but not modern either, I want to add in a modchip into my Xbox version 1.1 so I can install and use a 750 GB IDE seagate barracuda harddrive with it. I don't really require multiple dashboards or anything fancy, just as long as I have the large harddrive support across E and F partitions.

As of now in 2012, what is the best Xbox modchip to go with? I'm leaning towards the DuoX-2 GS more than the Aladdin XenoFX, but I want to hear from those who know about this stuff. Thanks.

  4. All items ship from Ontario Canada and I'll ship anywhere in the world. Shipping prices extra and vary depending on destination. I'll give discounts and offer combined shipped for multiple items. The more you buy, the more you save. Canada Post does not automatically include tracking. If you want that, it will cost extra.

    Here's what I've got:

    New!

Brand New Xbox Hip Gear Screen Pad Controller $60

This is a very rare unique controller for the original Xbox. It's a fully funtional Controller S complete with forceback, but also includes a 2.6" TFT backlit LCD. These controllers were expensive when they came out and regularly sell for $80 or more. I picked up two of these, but only need one. This is completely brand new and comes with its power supply and everything needed for it work flawlessly. Great for troubleshooting or for hot-swapping your Xbox harddrive. Here's my review of the device.

    PS3/Xbox 360/PC 3-in-1 Sanwa modded arcade stick $130

An absolutely beautiful arcade stick. Originally a Mayflash stick, this stick has since been professionally modded with a board that supports BOTH the PS3 and Xbox 360. To switch between them, hold down the Clear button for several seconds. This stick has been outfitted with a Sanwa JLF joystick, an octagonal restrictor plate, Sanwa 30mm buttons, a Zelda lamilabel and automotive grade gold paint resistant to human oils, sweat, scratching, tarnishing or fading. The interior of the stick is also professionally put together with quick disconnects for all buttons and precision soldering. All solder joints have been covered with glue to strengthen bonds. You won't find a better stick for the price. The size is perfect for your lap or a coffee table. A MUST have for serious fans of fighters like Street Fighter IV or shoot 'em ups. As it works for both the PS3 and 360, this one stick will service all your next-gen arcade style gaming needs. I'm only selling it because I no longer need it; its one of the best arcade sticks I've ever used. You will NOT be disappointed.

This is a must-own. Not only does it enable four player support for games like Gauntlet II, it also enables 16 shot per second rapid fire on ANY NES controller! Plug in your regular NES controller and shumps become a breeze. Megaman becomes a cinch. It even makes Contra seem easy!

    Serious Sam Advance $15

The hilariously bad Serious Sam Advance is a fun game to play with friends and beer. I'm including a DS case with custom insert that can fit the manual and game perfectly, as well as original cardboard box.

    6879886586_42a525f5fa_z.jpg

The Legend of Zelda Classic NES $20

My younger self thought it was a good idea to paint the GBA cartridge gold to match the NES version. Stupid younger self didn't realize that cheap paint fades/flakes with time, explaining the appearance of the cart. It can be cleaned off though, or repainted. I'm including a DS case with custom insert that can fit the manual and game perfectly, as well as original cardboard box.

    6879891254_92c44781d3_z.jpg

    Green N64 OEM controller $25

Control Stick is slightly misaligned, as per usual for N64 controllers. However, it's not broken. N64 junkies can easily fix these. I just have no use for this extra controller. [Pending]

    5253478784_f9091f2637_z.jpg

XFPS Mouse/Keyboard and PS2 controller adapter for Xbox 360 $60

This is the rare and highly sought after adapter to play FPS games the way they were meant to be played. Have a PS2 controller you love or an arcade stick? This is perfect for that as well. You'll need a wired 360 controller on hand to fool the system into detecting the device, but this thing is really a godsend. It even has turbo fire switches for the buttons!

This version also has sensitivity diles for perfect control with the mouse. Serious FPS players NEED this. I'm selling it only because I don't play my 360 nearly as much as I used to. Get it while you can!

    6879883512_77c01ffa2b_z.jpg

Sanwa Square gate restrictor plates. Both for $6

Lastly, I also make classic gaming beadsprites. I've got a huge catalog of past works, but can also take on custom orders. Just drop me a pm if you're interested. Prices start at just $5 and vary depending on the order. Here's just a small sample of my work:

  5. In that case, hacking in composite output is leaving it "intentionally inferior" too, because RGB is superior (i.e., hacking in a PC-10 PPU and an RGB amp).

True. The only reason I didn't bring up the RP2C03 is because most people don't have access to one to install in the first place, and there is little reason to install one outside of Europe anyway unless you plan to then also install a RGB to S-video adapter.

But again, that's different from preforming a composite mod on an NES-101 "toploader" - all you're doing is utilizing the hardware that's already there, not adding in new hardware.

  6. Hey guys, really just as an experiment, I decided to put all of the parts in the top 100 NES/Famicom games list I've been working on for the past few months into a single post to see if wordpress would even be able to handle it.

I need to make sure it works lol

word of warning: this post contains over 53,000 words, somewhere around 500 images, and about 100 embedded youtube links. I do NOT recommend it viewed on mobile devices.

I've gone back through it and corrected errors as I saw them, but I probably missed some. If you spot mistakes, let me know so I can fix them!

  8. Actually, The Famicom launched with Popeye, not Donkey Kong.

    I'm Canadian.

SMS list would be a bit more tricky, but I should be able to do something like that in the future. Unfortunately, I don't own a Master System myself, and am only really familiar with it in emulation, and I don't really have all that strong a grasp on its library. Before I do such a list, I'm going to tackle systems I DO know well such as the GBA, SNES, Original Xbox and GameCube. I think the next list I'll do will be Xbox games.

  9. 1. The list is honestly the games that I like - nothing more, nothing less. There are a lot of popular games I didn't mention at all on purpose because either I don't like them or don't like them enough to warrant them on the top 100.

    2. I completely do feel that all six Megaman games deserve places on the top 100 NES games. They're ALL really polished games and even though the later games were stigma of "same old same old" they are in fact excellent games that are superior to many of their 16-bit rivals at the time. I love Megaman, but you didn't see me put RockBoard on the list. RockBoard is not great even though I do like it.

    3. TNG gets the pass, but 25th anniversary didn't, even though I love TOS more than TNG. No love for Dragon Warrior is correct, but Battletoads is alrigtht..just not top 100 material for me I'm afraid.

    4. Uh..okay?

    5. Yeah.......SMB2J and SMB2 USA both are good games, but they're so different from each other I prefer to always refer to the Japanese version with a J and the one that came out for the NES and Mario USA as it was called in Japan.

    6. Dozens and dozens at least, probably closer to 300 games. I really went over the NES, Famicom and FDS library to create this list. There was a LOT that ended up on the cutting room floor. I think I might do a more brief list of an additional 100 games just based on the extra that didn't make the top 100. Maybe do something like "`100 honorable mentions" or something. Of course, even then I'll have to cut out some games I like for the sake of the list.

  10. Hey guys, sorry about the delay - I'm finally done! Here's the last entry in my top 100 NES/Famicom games list!

Here is what I consider to be unquestionably the best game on the hardware. Thanks for everyone who has supported me through this! Rest assured, I will be doing top ## lists for other systems in the future, just probably not right away.

    Anyway for now, enjoy!

  12. Another game I can not remember. You were on roller skates. you jumped holes in the pavement. Made it to a boss and kicked ass with some kick boxing.

RollerGames! I too like that one, just not top 100 like it.

For those who want to see a quick easy visual recap of the top 100 NES/Famicom games 100-2, check this handy chart I put together (56k warning)

  13. The kid in the video didn't look too interested in Ironsword, lol!

Smart kid for ignoring IronSword for Megaman 2. IronSword sucks, and even the end label pisses me off. It just says IronSword rather than Wizards & Warriors II, so it looks wrong when you place it in between 1 and 3 on the shelf.

But yeah, the whole exchange is great in his complete lack of any reaction or interest to IronSword even after his mother attempts to drum up interest.

Mom: "Oh look IronSword: Wizards & Warriors 2!!!!!!!"

Kid: "...........I finally got Megaman 2!!!!!!!!"

    Priceless.
