  1. I’m a big fan of the Sterilite brand of storage bins. Their 15 and 32 quart bins have been my go-to containers for practically everything. And both sizes stack neatly together, very convenient if you have a sizable collection. They’re cheap and easy to source from places like Target and Wal-mart. These bins have seriously helped keep my collection under control so I highly recommend them!

John Phelan is back! And naked.....for some reason 😨

Try watching it with the subtitles on. YouTube’s voice to text software tries admirably but frequently spits out hilarious nonsensical translations.

New idea for a drinking game: Do a shot every time he says the word “fook”. You’ll be kissing the floor in no time!

Scroggin's post is almost as headache material as KMD's.  (For those of you don't know who KMD is, search for KENNETH MARTIN DOLAN.)  Then grab an aspirin.

For the love of God, do NOT do this! That guy drove the last nail into the old RGVC message board coffin. Satisfy your curiosity if you must, but you have been warned... 😳

  5. I recently picked up this exact arcade stick and was instantly disappointed by the feel of the joystick. After reading up on this model I discovered this was because of the square gate that Hori used in its design. There is an octogonal replacement gate available that I am very tempted to get so I was wondering if anyone here has done this mod and has any feedback on it. Apparently it gives the controller a much more arcade accurate feel. I don’t play a lot of fighters but I was hoping to have a more authentic arcade experience when playing classics like Pac-Man. But as it is, this Hori stick controls horribly with the current square gate installed. And trying to play classic arcade games with the stock DualShock 4 is a VERY underwhelming experience! So if anybody here has any input on this then I would really like to read your comments.

  6. Happy birthday to Sega’s swan song console! I remember drooling over the Dreamcast games at a local department store when it was first released. I was finally able to afford one once they went on clearance. I was so excited to finally play Resident Evil Code Veronica. It was a brief but wonderful era in gaming... until the 800 pound gorilla that was the PS2 showed up to crash the party! Sega may never return to making hardware, but they really gave us a fantastic gaming machine with their final effort. I can’t wait to get my new Retro Fighters controller so I can delve back into its library with a controller that doesn’t cramp up my hands. The Dreamcast is dead, long live the Dreamcast!

Hard to say, but "Atari" owns them every day that passes without any real information about their un-console.

Sick burn! So if you see some delusional would-be “backer” about to throw their hard earned money at this fiasco, do your civic duty and...

  8. Update: I checked their twitter page and saw a notification confirming problems with processing credit card payments on the order site. So I used the PayPal link instead and my order went through properly. I snagged the black edition with three game carts. I think the red on black color scheme is way snazzier than the plain Jane white one. Anybody else getting one of these?

  9. Preorders are now live! I did experience an issue trying to place an order though: I keep getting an error message stating that my client IP address is too long when I try to submit payment. I’m trying to order through my iPhone, btw. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

  10. I was able to sign up and just got my first confirmation email this morning, so it should be working. Im actually very interested in this device. There havent been a lot of physical classic compilations this console generation so having a dedicated device for these collections is very appealing to me. And having them on cartridges is just the gravy on the mashed potatoes!

  11. I got the tab open now and just waiting. Back in 1995 looks like something up my alley. Im surprised ive never heard of it till now.

Also I heard they are going to be the normal price.

I just placed my order for Back In 1995 and it was $34 with a free shipping option. It ships out in July so there will be a little bit of a wait to receive it. After getting burned by Limited Run on the last two Vita titles I tried to preorder it was a relief to get this one! Seriously, if your product is selling out in literally under one minute, then maybe your runs are a little TOO limited! So screw LRG, I'm completely done with those guys.

Thanks for the heads up on this title chicgamer, I really appreciate it!!!

Yeah good song before the 'change', still think Land of Rape and Honey is their best. Wax Trax had some great bands on their label.

The original Alone in the Dark was pretty scary but the polygon graphics kind of nullified it. lol. Great musical score though.

I completely agree with you about Land of Rape and Honey being their best album. There are a few moments on Twitch and Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste that reach those heights though. But starting with Psalm 69 they became a little too noisy for me, losing that industrial/experimental edge. Anyone that's a fan of Ministry from this era should check out the album Pure by Godflesh. Very heavy and menacing with some punishing electronic drums and occasionally tight grooves.

As for horror games, I thought that Doom 3 on the OG Xbox had some incredibly effective scary moments in it. Very good tension throughout as well. But it was the first Silent Hill that really wormed its way into my psyche and made me a fan of the survival horror genre. Focusing on the psychological horror instead of the survival aspect just opened up a whole new level of immersion for me in gaming.

Some other horror themed games I'd highly recommend would be Soma (PS4), Prey (PS4), Eternal Darkness (Gamecube), and the first two Dead Space games (PS3/360). It's been mentioned already but that first Fear game is a truly excellent survival horror experience. A perfect blend of action and atmosphere. I dropped my controller several times because of the perfectly placed jump scares in that game!

  13. I had to turn on CC since I thought at first he said "Go to hell" in the beginning of his videos.

I just did the same thing and watched the video with captions and holy shit was it worth it. When "Atari 2600" was translated to "hairy future water" I completely lost it!
