  1. They still sell it. But, they changed it to a 2-pack only affair earlier in the year when they were reducing SKUs. I managed the Menomonie, WI store until they closed us last week. I don't recall the new SKU off the top of my head. But, that's what you're looking for. Or, support Atariage, of course
  2. Now there's only 19 items listed?? What happened to the other 80 items? Did they get pulled for some reason? And a Pheonix for $510?!
  3. A major part of the legend is based on the ET game itself; being the worst game ever and the whole reason for the burial. So, the legend goes. So, it makes perfect sense that ET is the most desirable for collectors. Hence, driving up the price. As far as all at once.....It was to my understanding that they have, like, 700 items or so and they were going to do them in multiple batches selling them all before xmas. If my understanding is correct, this is just the first of many "batches".
  4. Yes, the Commodore sign is awesome. Still haven't put mine up yet -pending move- but I'm going to make sure it has a place of honor in the new digs when I'm moved. And, you can bet I'll be buying more in the future!
  5. How much would you want for that VIC-Switch? I've apparently been building a Commodore collection over the past few years without even trying and reading up on this piece intrigues me.
  6. So, does anyone know the result of the meeting the city was supposed to have had on the 10th concerning how they were gonna go about selling the remainder of the games? It's been 3 weeks since then. I'm surprised we haven't seen anything on this.
  7. Nice! The white really makes the game boxes pop.
  8. Very exciting stuff. I for one would love a game from this history for my collection (there will definitely have to be a proper certification process in place, though)
  9. I remember seeing $400 as well on Saturday (don't recall timeframe).
  10. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to get in on this as well It was fun once I figured it out. Just go easier on me next year The event overall was great fun for us. Way too much to see in 2 days! Favorite parts for me was the museum and the experience we had as "The Doctor Who family" all day on Saturday. There was even a few systems I didn't even know about. I even came away w/ a VIC-20 for $10, which will go well next to my C64 (didn't plan on getting a system). Who ended up with the NIB Vectrex? I was definitely eyeing that one up -if I had more alotted to spend. Also, a big thanks to all the great, respectful, and responsible people there. My daughter noticed Saturday night before we left for the day, that she lost her purse. After some looking, it was turned into the lost & found at the desk (Ipod intact)!
  11. We are leaving Rice Lake now. Expected ETA down this is ~5pm (have some stops to make). We'll see everyone tomorrow (hint: we are big fans of a certain British sci-fi series that transcends time & space
  12. Is this included with our 2-day pass already purchased? Or else, where do I buy tickets for this? (I didn't see where) Thanks
  13. That's that special left-handed paddle
  14. Jen and I will be bringing the whole fam down. Between the 2 of us: 18yo son, 2 10yo girls, a 7yo son, and a 19mo son -alot, to say the least. This will be our first time attending one of these, but are excited about the event and the oppurtunity to meet others from here. We will not be staying onsite, however. I have a buddy that lives and works in the area and is setting us up with a hotel. Looking forward to meeting everyone that is going. Allen
  15. http://racine.craigslist.org/sys/4279894510.html Not affiliated in any way, shape, or form. Just passing along in case any one was interested.
  16. Welcome to the club. That's a nice start you have there. Lots of fun classic games to get you going. The label for the serial number, as Necron said above, probably just fell off over the years. As far as the two shiny screws w/ washers: they are there to hold the RF shielding / main board to the bottom half of the console. So, they are correct to be there. Interesting notes on the "Ingersoll" stuff. What's up with the end labels for missile command and video pinball; with the "P" in the upper-right? Are these repro labels to replace ones that fell off? Or, some UK version of these games?
  17. As a kid I loved the game and played a lot. I could get to the 4th or 5th screen if memory recalls. 20-some years later I picked it back up. Now I'm lucky if I clear the first screen.
  18. In short; the problem was non-existent after all. In the time rush that I've been on for the last 2 months, I didn't properly test the unit when I got it in. I only bored up breakout to the screen selection menu (didn't) actually play that particular game. And games 3 & 4 actually use a paddle from either set on the screen at the same time, not from the same set. I backed up a little bit and discovered there was no problem after I swapped caps and still had the same "experience". Thanks again everyone for the always reliable help on here when needed! Gonna be on our way to family Xmas shortly to deliver said gift. I think they'll love it. Hope everyone's holiday is going great!!
  19. I've always considered Craigslist in the wild (I agree about ePay and online resellers/retailers). But, now I guess I'll have to rethink that. In that case, the most I've ever found up here is a Raft Rider cart loose with missing end label for $4 at a pawn shop (all carts were that price). I didn't buy, but kinda regret it -these are kinda scarce. We are pretty dry and non-existent up here for anything in the wild (if we don't have Craigslist)
  20. All good info. I only have a Heavy-6, Light-6, and Video Arcade II, personally. So, giving them one of those is out, especially with their tight space situation. I did check the resitor (1800 ohm rated if memory serves), and that checked out OK last night. After sleeping on it, and with your suggestion, BigO, I think I'll warmup the ol' iron tonight when I get done with work and swap the cap and see if the problem follows. Hopefully, that'll be what the problem is and we'll be all set I'll keep everyone updated. Thanks.
  21. I am struggling 3 days to my deadline (Xmas) to get this 2600 jr. working. Everything works great on it, except the player 2 paddle pot does not respond. It reads the button fine, but not the pot. The paddles work great on my other systems (freshly rebuilt by myself), and I have tried another set of paddles on the jr with the same result (dead player 2 pot). Joystick port pins and connections to the board are all fine, and there is continuity from the pins for the pots to their respective pins on the TIA. Tomorrow I'm gonna verify player 3 & 4 paddle inputs work. I'm gonna sleep on it and look into again in the morning with a fresh mind, but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm giving this as a gift. Thanks In Advance
  22. About 3-4 years ago, when I got back into Atari I started off on the right foot. The find I got to get us back into it: heavy 6 w/ original joysticks (missing hex discs), original paddles (atari logo), and 2 original driving controllers (atari logo). Along with 2 cx40s, all 9 gatefold games cib, 5 other games cib and a couple loose. All this for $30! Sometimes craigslist can be great
  23. Everyone needs to remember also that it is Xmas time. This is usually a busy time for most of us. I know I've been extremely busy this year.
  24. Found a setup locally, so no longer looking. Thanks for any replies! Allen
  25. Would this shortage extend to Stella's Stocking as well? I'm not sure what board that uses. Thanks for the clarification Al!
