  1. Hi, yes i tried this image - and it also works on my Gotek (i am using the FlashFloppy Firmware), but only contains a few files... Cheers, TOM:0) PS: My ATR8000 came with a BIOS Eprom labled "3" and is slightly different than the version 3.02 i found online... atr8000_3.zip
  2. Hi, i was able to transfer 2 of my CP/M Discs into images for use with the GOTEK/FlashFloppy... (My other discs sadly have a bunch of defect sectors) the good news is, one of the discs is a CP/M Systemdisc with lots of good stuff on it (like MBASIC) :0) the other one is "Supercalc" both images work fine in the GOTEK... Cheers, TOM:0) cpmimages.zip
  3. Hi, short update: today i modified a 5.25HD Diskdrive (Chinon FZ-506) to act like a 360kb Drive (because i have no real 360k drive), with this i was able to boot my "original" CP/M Discs i got with the ATR8000 This Drive now also boots standard Atari Discs :0) Now i will try to transfer my disks to GOTEK images... will keep you posted... Cheers, TOM:0) (Very happy with a working ATR8000)
  4. PS: Can i use an 5.25" - 1.2MB Drive on the ATR to boot "standard 1050" Atari Disks? or do i need a 360k Drive for that? I know, it can be accessed configuerd like an 8", but should it be able to boot Atari Disks? Cheers, TOM:0)
  5. Hi, thanks for your tips! I will definately: Try with real drives (would love to have a 360k 5.25 instead of the 1.2M) Try the HxC Firmware Try the Program from post 84 Thanks, TOM:0)
  6. Hi, and thanks for the great work! I am trying to get my ATR8000 / GOTEK combination to work. I use the most recent FlashFloppy firmware on the GOTEK. And the GOTEK is the only Drive attached to the ATR. I can boot Autoterm, i get the #ATRMON prompt (after i replaced the faulty FD1797 :0)) and i am able to boot the CPM*.HFE image mentioned in Post #345 (changing the Diskimage on the GOTEK and then typing "B and RETURN") So this looks like it works... But: I am not able to load Software from the image-collection in post #394 => I can change to the images on the Gotek, i can read the DIR, but if i am trying to load i get a bunch of Sector-Read Errors... My guess is i am doing something wrong here... The CP/M bootimage and the Softwareimages have different formats / Sizes is that the problem? Can the ATR / CPM only handle one size in one drive number? Has someone a complete (and working :0)) set of Diskimages to run CP/M and Software from a single GOTEK drive? Many thanks in advance and greetings from austria, TOM:0)
  7. Hi, i am the guy Klaus mentioned above (www.8bit-homecomputermuseum.at)... The easy way to find most of the Videoram faults is to "piggypack" a working Ramchip ontop of the Ram's (one after the other) and see if the display changes... Sometimes it is not easy to feel heat differences... Ciao TOM:-)
  8. Hi, I have a defect 1050 Turbo (ENGL) v2 Floppy speeder. The Utilities boot when i boot the 1050 with "open handle", i can also boot disks normaly and with highspeed SIO transfer, but if i start one of the built in utils (maintanance box, copier ...) they are not working ... the Maintanance box shows module "FAIL" without an inserted disk and with a disk it simply crashes and goes back to the main menue ... I have tested the Turbo speeder in 3 different 1050´s and it acted the same ... I have allready replaced the Eprom => no difference I have replaced the GAL also (a friend burned me a new one, but i am not shure if it is OK ?!? as i have now way of testing it and no way of burning one myself...) => no difference I also replaced the Transistor and the 2 capacitors ... still no change in behaviour btw. i also checked all the soldering and continuity between parts ... Any Ideas are more than welcome ... Greetings TOM:-)

  10. Please Help, Problem with AspeQt! Hi, i am using AspeQt with a USB 2 Serial Adapter (FTDI latest Driver ) under Vista SP2 (32Bit) and a Homemade Nick Kennedy Max232 Sio2PC Interface. I can mount and boot ATR images (even in Highspeed). But every time i want to stop the simulation, close the program or try to change the prefferences AspeQt crashes!!! Only, when i disconnect the USB2Serial Adapter i can use above mentioned functions ... Whats wrong???? Greetings TOM:-)
  11. Thank you so much for the Data Drive Fix! My Colecovision Expansion Pack #3 (Coleco Adam) had exactly this Fault! (Tape was very fast wound to the end and then clicking Noise) and i was wandering what that little metalwheel was doing ... So i dismantled the Datadrive and pulled out the little Indexwheel (as mentioned above in an other post, yes!!!! the Indexdisk is very sensitive so i was really careful, i used a cotton-ear-stick to clean the Disk. I measured the diameter of the metalwheel and it was exactly 10mm the Should be outer-diameter with the rubber attached should be 3/8 Zoll (from other post above) (i calculated about 13mm). So i went to the local Hardwarestore "Bauhaus" and in the Gas/Water Plumbing Installation Area i found a "Quetschverbinder" made of Rubber with exactly the right dimensions 10x13x4mm. 2 Pieces for 0,7 Euro. I attached the Rubber to the Wheel put the Drive together and Voila! Buck Rogers was loading!!!!! So again thank you very much!!! To everyone whose Drive is not looking like the attached Pic, and there is only a Metalwheel instead of a "Rubberwheel", try this Fix!!!!!! Greetings from Vienna TOM:-)
