  1. I fixed it. The black box holding the sensors for the fire button wasn't down all the way. It's working fine now. Hard to believe I killed one those and a wico command controller back in the day when each had one direction stop working. I tired bending the sensors but I bent them out of whack. I thought Wico's couldn't break. Then again I killed a lot of joysticks playing games on the commodore 64. My dad killed some playing atari 2600.

  2.

If it happened at the beginning of a round when humans are walking down to Washington, D.C., that means the scientist got to Washington, D.C. first and is trying to get to E.T.

The FBI agent can't go down to Washington, D.C. since the scientist is there and the scientist can't come up since the FBI agent is where E.T. is, so they'll be stuck like that until E.T. moves to another site or E.T. hops into a well.

If you call Elliott, and keep him from touching E.T., you are free to do what you want in Washington, D.C. without being pestered by the other humans.

If you are going for a single-round high score instead of building your score from round to round, here are some tips:

I was playing from round to round.

  3. I walk on to one screen and the FBI agent is stuck in the lower right hand corner. Normally it happens when I use the send humans back zone ,but this time it happened when the guy appeared on the screen.

I got a high score of 21706 today. On the last game I couldn't win cause the call spaceship zone was on the Washington D. C. screen and it's next to impossible to keep the bad guys off of it long enough to call the spaceship.

Why would FBI agents be interested in alien stuff a decade before The X-Files?

  4. I have two black picture label versions of Asteroids. The one on the left has the copyright screen and the one on the right doesn't. I was lead to believe the black picture label versions didn't have the copyright screen. How common are they with the copyright screen?

  5. I know one pin on the end of one end of the ribbon cable is half broken and one pin on the riot chip is half broken from when I tested the system without each chip. Also the chip sockets started to come out when I removed the chips and I pushed the chip sockets back in. Could that be the problem?

I have pesco in and it's trying to display the screen here. I would like to try and fix it cause I broke it. Maybe I should get a new ribbon and riot chip. I like watching one guy on youtube fix up old console tvs and radios and sometimes wish I could do that. I would like to make an atari 2600 game but don't know how.
