Atari VCS. The NES toaster was the most horribly designed console ever because of the stupid 72 pin connector which fails too often and the lock out chip. I disabled the lock out chiip on my NES toaster and put in a refurbished gold coated 72 pin connector

Any idea when they will be out? I would like one.

I was thinking about getting one cause my Intellivision sometimes causes the screen to go black after a while.

Did Mattel block all third party games on Intellivision 2 besides Coleco games?

I cheat frequently out of frustration. It i get frustrated and start throwing controllers around then I usually cheat. I broke my Wii U gamepad while doing those stupid bonus levels in which you have to race through in a short amount of time to rescue the three little guys at the end.

The problem is the generations who grew up with NES ,SNES ,Genesis ,Playstation ,and later look down on the earlier systems as inferior and see E.T. as inferior due to it being on older hardware.

The AI will probably rubberband again and spam blue shells in the last lap.

Anyone else run into a glitch in which the bad guys get stuck on the bottom of the screen when you use the send humans home hot spot? They just walk in place.

My highest score so far is 11755 and I had 1000+ units of enegry left and 8 recess pieces and all three time you can be rescued by Eliott

is it a light gun game?

It's hard when your trying to call the spaceship or waiting for it to land on game 1. I don't know how many times the ship wouldn't land because a bad guy showed up or I couldn't call it for the same reason.

My video gets bad sometimes on my four switch which was modded from a six switch. Smacking the area near the reset switch clears it up. Don't have a clue what is wrong.

ET has it's issues ,but I don't consider it to be as bad as the internet makes to be. Yes the pits are a pain but once you get used to them you can get out pretty easily.

Anyone else decide to play ET today in honor of the carts being found?

Went through several Gemsticks back in the day. I killed a Waco Command Control ,a boss controller ,and several epyx controllers. I threw'em out after trying to figure out why one direction or another stopped working. I bent the metal contacts in the wico command control trying to make them work and it failed. Maybe it just needed cleaning. I feel soo bad I killed two wicos and several epyx just playing lots of games.

I just saw people play testing a game on The NBC Nighty News. Becasue of the angle you couldn't tell what game it was.

First the heavy sixer then the light sixer ,the four switch ,vader ,and the jr. Why didn't they just keep making six switch versions all the way through the life span of the 2600? No other console had so many changes.

You ever made it to that screen with the big Evil Otto and have him send 4 or 5 Evil Ottos after you for killing one?

Frenzy - too many robots and they didn't speak as much as in Berzerk. Shots bouncing off the walls killing you and the mazes were bigger then Berzerk.

Has anyone used the Super Pots from Best Electronics?

I unplug them after use and even disconnect them from the tv. I could play 2600 games on my 7800 or on my modded colecovision with expansion module 1 ,but 7800 has a bad power switch and I have to disconnect ATT unverse from component connections to use Colecovision

I cleaned them a while back and the problem was the posts on the metal cover needed to be hammered down more to hold them in place. I took a knob off another paddle and have a working set now.

Both power supplies that came with my 2600s died and I used a universal 1.5-12v 300ma power supply and my 2600 worked perfectly with it. Is it okay to keep using this power supply with my 2600s or such I buy a new one?

This is a Cosmic Commander on ebay ,but it is untested.

What is wrong with the developer. oversensitive controls ,no walls on levels 5 and up , not enough time period . no center mark for vertical control. Don't make anything that frustrates me period. Why can't you make easy games?
