Where I live is a small town that only has a gas station. The nearest city is 45 miles away.

Our local goodwill is 45 miles away lol

Finding a vcr around where I live is impossible. Closet thing they have is s vcr combo for over 100 dollars.

I removed the rf unit on 1 and kept it on the other. The only thing I can think may be the issue is that I used a 2n3904 instead of a 2n2222 transistor. At first I thought it may have been my tv but my flashback 2 display is crystal clear.

Thanks for all the help but gave up with the 2 modded systems and just gonna get myself a tv that will play an unmodded system.

I went with the modified version of the mod where R11 was untouched. Would it have anything to do with motherboard versions?

May be getting another 7800 that doesn`t work and use parts from that as the case on this one is all broken up.

I have a spare 7800 power supply with with the end missing. Maybe I could put a standard connector it the unit and on the wire.

Just got my hands on another 7800 but the power jack is missing from the board. Can the part still be bought or would I have to get another 7800 for spares?

Got a Jr for 6 bucks. It powers on fine but when I try to put a game in it doesn`t stay and pops out. I`ve noticed there may be a piece of plastic missing on the cartridge slot which may be the problem.

Just modded a second 7800 and still have the dark issue and it`s a different motherboard i.e. one with the exspantion port so not sure what to do. Still have an unmodded 7800 that shows the colours bright and clear. May just have to buy a tv monitor combo to play the unmodded 7800 lol

Just won an Atari Jr on ebay but has no power supply. I have a light six switcher which uses a radioshack poweer supply. For testing purposes can I use the radioshack power supply to see if the Jr works?

The rf module has been removed. I`ll have to go over the solder points sometime this week due to work. Didn`t change R11 as I went with the modified version of the mod. Just got 2 7800`s of ebay for 6 bucks and not sure if they work so I can mess about with them when they arrive. Will keep you guys updated when I check out the solder connections. I didn`t build the circuit on a board and just soldered to the motherboard which may make a difference which I may do on the next 7800. Also does the metal sheilding need to go back into 7800?
