Everything seems OK except for key repeat on some keys, which is switched on at full speed. WTF?

  I've never tried it, but I wonder if membrane type machines like the Atari 400, ZX-81 (TS 1000) and for that matter Odyssey^2 were spill proof in that respect.

  From childhood experience with the Odyssey², I can say that the membrane is spill-proof. The gaps between the membrane and case... Not so much
