  1. ^ Then on top of it all, after all that, you end up paying for it and asking for you money back! Talk about confusing...
  2. Honestly - nothing worse than a buyer hitting BIN then trying to cancel the transaction. I always assume it is some 12 year old. If you don't want it, don't buy it. If you buy it and change your mind, suck it up and resell it once you get it, if you want. EBay's position is that buying an item is a contract. You are trying to get out of the contract, then further confuse the issue by paying for it. Really this is a bad buyer issue, not a bad seller issue. No offense.
  3. Fun thing today - just received a cancellation from a refund request from PayPal: Shawn Setnicky ([email protected]) canceled the following money request: The refund request was from 2011! This is the guy who pulled off one of the larger scams on Atariage for the Skull Island game, made off with several thousand dollars of AA members money. Why he would cancel this now, and rub salt into an old would, is beyond me. Good times!
  4. It's not greed, it's laziness. The seller doesn't get the extra money...
  5. ^ that's unfortunate, and if it was that important, maybe she should have ordered it earlier. People don't seem to understand that once it leaves your hands, you really have nothing to do with it from that point. I get people from the US putting offers on things three days before Xmas, with the condition that it arrive before then, and I am in Canada!
  6. I would be down for a copy too if this becomes available again...thx!
  7. I would be in for two CIB copies, will you contact people I'd this happens? TIA!
  8. I would be in for CIB, assuming you would ship to Canada...
  9. Makes it go away...scent free works too...
  10. I find putting a dryer sheet (Bounce or something like that) with the games in a plastic bag for a while (couple weeks) really helps the smell to go....
  11. Can't you just pre-order it from Toys R Us or am I missing something? http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=35290526&cp=2255956.2273442.3999902.4021162&parentPage=family
  12. I wouldn't ship anything without receiving the money first, including an AA Marketplace trade...
  13. Course the other option would be to list everything auction style, starting at a dollar and let the market determine fair price...
  14. I think grownup sounds like a crazy person - people need to pay within 24 hours? You can't enforce that. Making a video over a $2 transaction? Chill buddy, for sure we are only hearing one side of your "short version" of the story. You sound like one of those people who can't let the smallest thing go...
  15. Is this still available? If so, count me in. Any unclaimed / unpaid color cart versions? If not, any available black cart version is great...
  16. Anyone remember what the asking price was? Listing is gone...
  17. Hi Everyone! This thread has kind of come back from the dead from April - bad news, everything is sold except for Maniac Mansion (pulled edition). Looking for about $175 for that one. Since everyone is asking, I can tell you what I got for some of these - most went to people in Europe, I find that they are hard core Commodore collectors. Shipping was on top of these selling prices (US dollars). Ultima 1 - $300 Ultima 3 - $85 Ultima 4 - $50 Ultima 5 - $60 Ultima 7 - $20 Ultima 9 - $20 Norbert & Bert - $42 Everything else between $10 - $30 each... The Ultima games were really in exceptional condition. Guess this thread is dead now!
  18. Hi, I am also from Canada, and have a ton of experience with shipping to & from the US (used to be a Silver PowerSeller), and I have to say those excuses sound like total BS. If something is sent with the wrong Postal Code, as long as the address is correct, it has always (eventually) arrived in my experience. As well, how would it be possible to smash Atari games, I can't think of a way that a small, hard plastic flat case could be broken in transit....just my opinion after reading this!
  19. Thanks for all the great feedback (and offers), both in this thread and through PMs. My game lot just arrived today - tons of C64 games and more, including boxed Ultima I - VI, might actually be a couple more, haven't had a chance to go through everything yet. I'll either sell here or Ebay, but will modifythis one or create a separate thread to do so, get some pics up, etc.
  20. Yes, that's the one. My first post was incorrect - it's a cloth bag for the coins, and 4 paper maps. Your post is very interesting, no worries!
  21. Here is the complete list of C64 games, open to offers on the Ultima games (set or individually), the set of Sleeved games, and the boxed games (set or individually). I am in Canada, to keep in mind for shipping, everything has manuals and looks complete, in very good shape. Can send pics of individual games if requested, I also have this on lemonC64 for the good folks over there. Ultima: Ultima I, III, IV, V (sorry, don’t actually have II) Boxed Games (12): Realms of Darkness Knights of Legend Flames of Lore War in Middle Earth (JRR Tolkien) Wizard's Crown Might and Magic Book One The Magic Candle Vol 1 Maniac Mansion The Legend of Blacksilver Nord and Bert Couldn't Make Head or Tail of it (Infocom) Defender of the Crown Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Games in sleeves (6), all with instruction manuals: The Seven Cities of Gold Heart of Africa Master of the Lamps Infiltrator Tales of the Unknown Vol 1: The Bard's Tale Legacy of the Ancients I thought I have a lot more, but turns out one of the boxes that I was told was C64 games is all vintage IBM/Tandy games - will get that up at some point too - all boxed, great LucasArts and other titles.
  22. Offered: K-Tel Atari 2600 Mini Selector. Dusty, front right game slot is cracked and missing a piece, rest looks ok. Pay for shipping only - let's say $12 (I'm in Canada). That would include insurance but no tracking number. Games in pic are for display purposes only and not included!
  23. Hey, I agree too! The issue is that he is completely MIA now - this after finally reestablishing communications before Christmas, and promising some sort of a repayment schedule. It's not like he doesn't have options (refunds, complete project, ask for help, refund schedule, anything!), and it's not like he has not been given enough time (2 years) and chances. If he would simply communicate something, everyone would give him the benefit of the doubt, even now. It's actually kind of insulting that this was previously referred to witch hunt, check the comments, people are actually pretty supportive of him, and I do think his rep can be salvaged, but he has to communicate! He has a history of poor communications and updates all through these projects, and make some critical errors (like taking the money up front -heck, starting a second project before finishing the first one was dumb too!), but until he at leasts attempts to make this right, his reputation will deservably suffer. We keep assuming some sort of life event or something has delayed this - but that is just another assumption, we don't know that. When he did email me before Christmas, there was no life event or disaster that preventing him from finishing or refunding, he was just in over his head, didn't like his job, etc etc. Really had no reason at all to hang on to everyone's cash. Hey, cancel your cable and do 1 refund a month, after all, it wasn't your money to begin with. Really he has failed to follow through 4 times - intial Skull Island payment, then asking for additional money, the money for Alture, then the more recent promises of refunds. I'll try to communicate with him one last time through email and Facebook, and hopefully he responds. No one here wants this to escalate up into charges against him, but he simply needs to respond with something. No one expects everyone to get a refund tomorrow, but he needs a plan, and he needs to follow through with it. After that - he made his bed..
  24. It's definitely in the 3 -4K range, when you include both projects. Everyone can have their own opinion, as someone who was personally involved, I am trying to get my money back, I didn't buy in on speculation and didn't think I would end up paying his rent or whatever he used the money for. If you disagree and would be ok with how this went down, that's ok too! Not trying to be malicious here or anything...
