  1. That's actually not a bad idea… I don't have a PC - been on iMacs / Macbooks this past ten years but I do have an ADVC 300 that I used to do video conversion with, would be a hell of a clumsy setup but Composite modded 2600 to ADVC to laptop to TV would actually work. Failing the possibility of an all in one internal fix.
  2. Yeah but none of the ones I've found have an RF input - so I'd have to get the composite mod AND a converter which again is going to be considerably expensive, and of course again getting something like that in Mexico is damn near impossible, shipping it in - if you can get someone who'll post here in the first place - is a gamble (50/50 to arrive) and if it does the taxes are crippling. Dunno, but I'd sorta hoped that someone had a mod that would allow a 2600 to play both pal and NTSC carts (though doesn't a PAL one do that anyway?) to an NTSC output. Wasn't sure if there was any such market for it, if there were many PAL exclusive releases. Unless I hear otherwise I guess the games will be heading off to a new home next time I'm in the UK.
  3. Yeah… was kinda hoping for something that didn't involve spending thousands of pesos… consumer electronics ain't exactly cheap in Mexico. I've often considered getting the composite mod for the 2600 - I'd have thought / hoped there'd be some sort of crossover PAL / NTSC box, woudl be good to know if I'm wrong in that just so I can stop looking.
  4. I'm from the UK and have a pretty substantial collection of games, nothing uber-rare but it's something I've enjoyed and still have the games I got as an eight year old. Now I live in Mexico and it's really not likely that I'm going to be living in the UK again for a substantial number of years, so I'm wondering what to do with my collection. Obviously they're all Pal which isn't going to play with my TV if I brought my console over. So my question is - has there been any hardware hacks to allow for cross format playing? If not, what would anyone advise or do themselves? I'm not keen on selling the lot but I'd rather bung them on eBay next time I'm back there so at least someone can appreciate them rather than have them mouldering away in the attic until they're off to the landfill.
