Thanks all! Slowcoder... I think you hit the nail on the head. I only get static on the TV when flick the power on the Atari, therefore I'm guessing that I'm not getting power. I think some guys at work can check the power adaptor and confirm. The funny thing is the power adaptor did heat up a bit to the touch. If it is the power adaptor, where can I get another one? Thank again for the help!

Hey all- I'm new here, so be gentle. I just acquired a 2600 (my first since the early 80's) hooked it up to a TV and get nothing. I have it connected to the TV coax with a coax to RCA adapter. I've tried channel 2, 3, 4 and line in. It looks like the original power adapter (it has atari logo). I pop in a game and flick the power switch to on, but nothing happens. I don't even know if it's getting power. It's a wood paneled 4 switch model. Any thoughts? Thanks!
