  1. I received my poster, thanks! By the way, a funny thing: the poster was packed in an industrial-strength, super-duper, heavy-duty tube, one that is hard as wood--and yet the idiots at the post office managed to dent it! Consequently, the poster is a bit creased on the center. No worries, but I just thought it was interesting how they managed to invalidate its purpose. dZ.
  2. Agreed. The Jaguar version looks a bit "flat" in design.
  3. I have the Atari Activision Anthology collection for the PS2, and it includes some pop songs from the 80s that play in the background for full nostalgic effect. I used to play these games a lot, and I would get "Tainted Love" and "Mexican Radio" stuck in my head for days! To this day, I associate "Tainted Love" with playing Sea Quest. It's so strong that whenever I consider porting that game to the Intellivision, I cannot help but immediately think of tracking its very recognizable beat and "tooh-tooh" hook as part of the game soundtrack. dZ.
  4. It depends on your inclinations...
  5. Wait, wasn't GroovyBee also working on a multi-cart? -dZ.
  6. I'm thinking that the computer can tease you. "Wanna try again, chump?" "Is that the best you can do?" "Game Over, dummy!" "Game Over... Again." "Want to play tic tac toe instead?"
  7. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division (Right back at ya'!)
  8. w00t! "Higher" score! 184 points -dZ.
  9. OK, my very first impression was, "wow! the teaser is out! awesome!!" Followed immediately by "Damn! this is freakin' HARD!!" After about 10 or 15 tries (which took a whooping 3 minutes), I managed to get a "respectable" score. Well, respectable compared to the other two posted already. 149 points. "High" score? I agree with catsfolly's and fsuinnc's suggestions: have a go with different "game over" phrases since the player will hear it a lot; and the explosion takes a tad to long to play out. Overall, damn hard, but fun. -dZ.
  10. Same here. I actually prefer the 16 directions and some games do take advantage of them. To me, the worst part of the hand-controller is the action buttons, which are very uncomfortable to press. The disc is rather good, in my opinion, if used effectively by the game. Nonetheless, cool hack. -dZ.
  11. True, but the BASIC was so crap that it was almost worthless. -dZ.
