Japanese Intellivision titles to trade
DZ-Jay replied to river9999uk's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Chill out, he didn't call you or anybody anything. My guess is that he used "jap" as an abbreviation for "Japanese," which is reasonable if misguided. More importantly, he was also referring to *objects*. Do you also feel offended when people type "u" instead of "you"? Intolerance is in the eye of the beholder. -
What are your favorite Intellivision homebrews?

No worries. You know you can get the ROM for free from the web site, right? It's the same game in cartridge. -dZ. -

What are your favorite Intellivision homebrews?
DZ-Jay replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Yes, that's me. I designed and programmed Christmas Carol. I hope you enjoy it. I don't have many homebrews, only Space Patrol, DK Arcade, DIIK, and of course, Christmas Carol. They are all very good and I like them all. My favorite? Well, take a guess. dZ. -

As far as I know, games with a menu do not use a "select" function, but just pressing a number key. For example, it's very common for games to engage "easy," "medium," "hard," and "fast/normal" when pressing #1, #2, #3, or the Disc, respectively. When they require input (like multi-digit numbers), they use "Enter" to select and "Clear" to clear the input. -dZ.

Are you using GRAM sequencing of pre-shifted cards, or are you scrolling the screen horizontally, like Space Armada does? Looks awesome, by the way! Here's an idea, reserve one MOB and every once in a long while take one of the monsters out of formation and make him fly down on his own towards the player, shooting faster than the others--sort of like a very simplified version of Galaxians. No need for complicated AI, just head towards the player, oscillating left and right in a wide pattern. -dZ.

Yes, When Worlds Collide is a complex project. I proposed a three-phase game concept some time ago for it, and since you cancelled the project, I intend to pursue that concept on my own--eventually. -dZ.

Ah! I remember it now. I think there may not have been much interest for it, or perhaps no programmer volunteered to make it. Valter, could you give an update, please? -dZ. Nevermind. Valter responded. Thanks for the update, Valter! -dZ.

Box art for the new Intellivision Release SUPER PRO TENNIS
DZ-Jay replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I want it. -
Which game are you talking about? I don't recall any game announced called "Space War." I recall Valter Prette talking talking about "When Worlds Collide," if that's what you mean, but he abandoned that project some time ago. It never went beyond the very early concept phase, though. -dZ.

If you can add two more of the same sort of simple quality, that would be awesome-er.

I rather it be a man-running-and-shooting on the surface (or below the surface) of Mars, to keep with the theme. -dZ.

Sorry for the stupid question, but what is the intent? Is it to replace old broken units, or for a new, custom version?

Done. Slick shopping cart web app. -dZ.
