  4. What do you mean? A hand-controller decoding routine should be able to detect when the key was pressed and when it was released, so the game can react differently for each event. Do you mean pressing more than one keypad button at a time? It may be physically possible to do so, but you won't be able to tell them apart from some other types of input, such as disc or action button. -dZ.
  5. What about Rocketeer... did it ship?
  6. I want a copy. How do we pre-order? -dZ.
  7. Well, shows you how little imagination I have. For some reason I was only thinking of A/V mods. Shoot! Now you got me on that path, I can dream of endless enhancements that I could use! -dZ.
  8. Songs Of Faith And Devotion - Depeche Mode Sorry that's the album... broken memories, meh. Faith - George Michael
  9. Yah, I know. That's what all these threads lead to. I like the idea of expanding the capabilities of the machine, but seeing that the biggest limiting factor is the colors and MOBs, then we're talking about pretty much replacing the system while keeping the 1970s CPU only for the sake of its "charm." About the only practical enhancement I can think of at the moment is to re-create something like the ECS on a cartridge, so that you could plug in a USB keyboard or even MIDI. The extra sound channels would be nice too.
  10. I was thinking something like the System Changer: where the entire system is on the board, and you just send the video output to the Master Component. The game could run on emulation or on a different architecture. -dZ.
  11. Except that the Intellivision Master Component I does not have a video pass-through. This is why it requires a hardware modification to support the System Changer. That said, it's an interesting idea. I wonder if GroovyBee would be interested on designing such a cartridge board? What says you, Mark? -dZ.
  12. I was counting on that. However, that won't work for the fancy acrobatics of the incoming enemy waves. Those will need to be MOBs. -dZ.
  13. I thought the limiting factor was the size of the attack waves with enough detail for it to look cool. If you compose the player's ship with two MOBs, and one for his laser blast, you only 5 MOBs left for a full attack wave and their multiple laser blasts. Suppose you limit the enemies to single color sprites, and only two can fire at a time, that leaves you with three MOBs for enemy ships--hardly enough. You can gain one more if you limit the player's ship to a single MOB, but then you're now gimping the style. It is possible to make something that evokes some sort of resemblance to Gyruss, but I don't think it's possible to port the game without serious trade-offs. If you allow for MOB multiplexing, which flickers, you can get away with something closer. -dZ.
  14. GroovyBee, Good, you're here. Now you know there's demand for an Inty Gyruss. Get to work. -dZ.

  16. Ah! It's Classic Game Publishers. That's the only one I didn't try, DOH! -dZ.

Back from the abyss, I finished relocating and I'm ready to continue work on P-Machinery.

  18. Er, sorry for the silly question but... which one's the site to order on? I went to "GamesForYourIntellivision.com" and it had a placeholder sending me to Elektronite. I then went to "Elektronite.com" and it has the announcement of 5-5-13, and information on the game, and a link to the demo, but no means of purchase. What am I doing wrong, or is it not available yet? It's 5-5-13... -dZ.
  19. Kyle's Mom Is A Stupid Bitch - Eric Cartman (From a South Park Episode) Hey, it's a song... and it happens to be in my collection too! LOL!
