RF/VHF Input Selector Box
ZombiePharmer replied to ZombiePharmer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Thanks for the replies, especially the link to the schematic, just what I was looking for. -
Has anyone found or is anyone currently using a RF/VHF selector box? I have 3 A/V selector boxes now, 1 that lets me connect 5 composite input devices for 1 output to my TV, 1 for 5 S-video inputs to one output, and 1 for 4 component inputs to 1 output, but I have multiple classic consoles that use RF/VHF out. I have 4 inconvenient and messy RF switch boxes hanging off the back of my TV and I would love to have a selector box for this instead so I can use the RCA to RF connector (as seen in the AA store - cables and connectors) that I could select with switches on the front of a selector box and have just one output to the coax connector on my TV. I think this would give me a much cleaner signal over the daisy chain I have going now and be much more convenient. The best I could find so far is an ABC selector box, that lets 3 coax inputs go to one output with a slider switch, but it's small and wouldn't be easy to put into my entertainment stack, plus it's only 3 inputs. I would like around 5 inputs ideally ( 4 consoles plus cable TV to one output). Has anyone seen this or have a tutorial that would point me in the right direction to making my own? Thanks! Edit: I don't want to do any composite or S-video mods to the consoles, I want to keep them in original shape.
